I'll be honest I'm quite confused with how many people bought RE4 for the Wii. Considering it was on both GameCube and PS2, I was pretty much under the assumption if you wanted it you would of played it by now. So I create this little poll here to get a sense on how many Played this game for the first time on the Wii, and how many played it before but decided to give it another go. Thanks for any response.

As for me GameCube Only.

Would you say you got your Money's worth by picking up the Wii version, even though you played it on the Cube? Would you say the lack of games on the Wii contributed to your decision? This question is not only directed to you but all that come to the poll.

I have it on GameCube. At some point down the line I'd considered picking up the Wii version in a bargain bin or something just to have the definitive version, but it's certainly no rush.

Wii has everything from the GameCube game (graphics) and the PS2 game (new contents) and it's 30$.

I've only played it on GC and I don't really want to get it on the Wii, though after playing MP3 I might change my mind. I like the aiming with the Wii remote.

I played the PS2 version for a little bit at a friend's house. The Wii version is really the first version I've actually purchased. (which is just as well, since the controls alone make this the best version IMHO)

Yeah. Which I guess is why the wii version is considered the best, it has the best graphics, all the content, and offers both the wiimote control and the gamecube control (not much of a reason to use a cube controller, but it's nice that they added it)

Not really. It has all the extra content with the new controls for only $30. It was a no brainer IMO.

I haved played RE4 on the GC and the Wii. Personally I like the controls much better on the Wii.

I do have to mention that I don't own either copy and that I have not played the game through completely.

Fair Enough. Even though I'm against ports for the Wii, I'll at least give Capcom credit that they got the pricing right for the game. I don't understand the thought process of charging 50 bucks for a game like Scarface when you can buy the exact same game for 20 on another console.

If you missed the Gamecube version then you should see how gorgeous it looks. I was blown away by the Gamecube version so I had no desire to get a version for another system.

The Wii version has the GCN's graphics, plus an arguably better frame-rate. (and of course all the ps2 extras)

I had the GC version and then picked up the Wii version the first week it came out. Made a near perfect game even better, IMO. I sold the cube version to my brother, who then about a week later bought the Wii version, too. Then he sold the GC disks to our friend. But now he's thinking about getting a Wii...

In my honest opinion the game was a huge success on the GameCube just based on the fact other than Eternal Darkness there were not many triiple A Mature games on the market for the GameCube.

A few years latter and the launch of the Wii besides the thoroughly Medicore FarCry and Red Steel,Resident Evil 4 finds it's self once again to be one of the few Mature games on Nintendo's Juvenile system. Dose anybody believe that this is a factor in this games success on the Wii?

Had it for PS2, but I never finished it cuz I didnt really like it. But now I got it for the Wii and love it, the controls are so much better. I really hope RE5 comes to Wii, cuz even though I have a 360 I'm only going to get it if it has Wii controls.

Now lets just say hypothetically that Smash Bro's, Metroid and Galaxy came out before RE4. Wouldn't you agree that RE4, a game that you already own for the GC and backward compatible for the Wii would be a last or latter priority as a consumer?

Well the controls alone made it better to me. Since I didn't get the ps2 version, I got some new content as well. Though as for widescreen thing? It makes the game look like trash. It looks zoomed, and shows the games faults alot more. So if you leave the game in 4:3 and at 480p, it graphically is the same. Though do I feel I got my moneys worth? Yeah. Its quite a bit more fun to aim with the remote than using a analog stick. Plus, the knife is actually ALOT useful in the wii version. Auto lock on for the knife if you just swing the remote without equipping it.

Played it on the GC and the Wii.

One cause I love the game and it will probably be a titlethat i'll play a few more times in the future.

Ihave finished it twice on GC and once on Wii.

My decision to buy it for Wii was the simple fact of the control scheme, using the remote, the price although it could have been cheaper, and the lack of better games yet.

But that will change in the following year as companies catch up.

I totaly agree with you. If there were better games out its priority would of been alot farther down the list and most would of picked it up when it hit the used bargain bin.

But I disagree with using the term gimmicky controls, in my own opinion I think it added and emersed yah a bit better into the game. Although in that note I think they needed to adjust the difficulty a little cause it did make it easier.
