Miyamoto: Ah, Othello! Well yes, I guess it was a bit like that. But I didn’t really overturn anything. To me, “overturning” would mean coming out with something like: “Actually, Link was a woman all along!” (laughs)
See? And since this Zelda is supposed to be different... >_>
Maybe they are changing the format. Like right now its going from dungeon to dungeon collecting things (that would appear to be utterly useless). Maybe they are changing it to more of an overworld fucused format... or something like that.
[QUOTE="azad-g"]He looses that hat of his and wears a nike hat and his horse is a ferrari?hazbazzlol yea, and billboards pop up around hyrule telling us to buy deoderant hahaha
Im just guessing, but I thought he meant the last Zelda with a traditional control scheme.sykohippoYeah, that's what I always thought about it. It is going to be humorous when the next Zelda pops up and has all the familiar elements (thankfully) and people start complaining about how Nintendo lied. People are reading way too much into such a simple statement.
I hope it's still an action-adventure. I hope they change the entire world though. No more Hyrule. A different place. I'd just like Link to stay, and maybe Zelda also.So more like MM then?
Also, the story needs to change from "Rescue Zelda, then kill Ganon."

link will probably be emo and zelda will have to save himschufrom cutting himself or comitting suicide? or both?
Sorry to ruin the fun but it was prob just a hint towards the new control scheme AKA Wiimotenintendogamer6I would add to that a new way to progress through the game probably, instead of doing the same dungeon formula over and over.
He means that the next Zelda game will be a collection of Zelda themed minigameshazbazzOMG if that happens I will die

ITA.
It actually irritates me whenever this statement is brought up because it always causes way too much ridiculous speculation. I don't think the Zelda format will ever change too drastically because it sells great the way it is. We will definately see improvement but all these people expecting a totally different experience are going to be dissapointed. Like another poster mentioned, I'm sure when the new Zelda realeases there'll be a bunch of "OMG Nintendo lied to us" threads to look forward to.
Y'know it's funny. If the formula and mechanics drastically change from the norm of zelda, 90% of the stubborn zelda fans here will hate it. Absolutey loath it because it's something new. And yet, TP was said to be to 'samey' and not good enough compared to Oot. You zelda fans are so bloody hard to please!!!
I say, give Link a gun and make it set for new york, for all I care. As long as its good and it works.
[QUOTE="shano100"]I reckon instead of third person the next zelda would be in 1st person. Using the wii remote as sword and nunchuck as shield in first personNiebz
No offense to you personally but I would hate it if that happened. Luckily it won't.
Actually i dont think its the worse idea for it to be in first person view but not restricted to it. U should have the option to switch between third and first person as its simply a different camera position and not hard to do.Good find!Miyamoto: Ah, Othello! Aonuma - Well, everyone has their own interpretation of things. People like me who are well used to Miyamoto-san didn't bother resisting.
Iwata - Some of the staff were saying that it was more like a game of Othello, with you overturning all of the pieces one by one…
Miyamoto - Ah, Othello! Well yes, I guess it was a bit like that. But I didn’t really overturn anything. To me, “overturning” would mean coming out with something like: “Actually, Link was a woman all along!” (laughs)
Aonuma - Oh, don't be ridiculous! (laughs)
Miyamoto - “The best way to resolve this would be to make Link into a woman!” That kind of thing… (laughs) I didn’t do anything like that!
They were talking, I think, in reference to how Miyamoto tends to always do things last minute.
I remember when they made that spaceworld mock-up video of Link and Ganon, and how Miyamoto didn't like the look of that Link with the ear ring an' all, maybe he doesn't like the slightly androgynous look of the current Link? Maybe in Future Zelda's, we might see a whole new Link, one that's either female or more masculine looking or something...
