I'm invisioning something that uses its most popular franchises and put them in a familliar context. For example, mario bros could get a 2d side-scroller in vain of crash crashers on XBLA but include some form of multiplayer like co-op and downloadable content.

Metroid could also become a first-person multiplayer shooter with wiispeak support and downloable content like maps, characters and the norm.

That's my ideas, but what do u think nintendo will develop for first party wiiware games??

Puzzle games and 2D Platformers. Thats what WiiWare needs, and I bet Nintendo has plans for a few.:)

I wouldn't bet against a Wii version of New Super Mario Bros. I don't mean a port, but a new game in the same vein. Maybe with downloadable level packs or something.

Well, Nintendo's initial first-party offerings were My Pokemon Ranch and a remake of Dr. Mario, so I have a pretty good feeling that Nintendo's more focused on retail games and will mostly leave WiiWare to the third-party developers.

They've already said that WiiWare is primarily a tool for third party developers. So don't expect anything huge from them. Look at the three games they have on the service now. That's the type of stuff you can expect from them in the future.

They should've been doing new Wii Sports as downloads. The sports games can't be that big (individually), and it'd be cool to be able to download volleyball or hockey or something.

If you mean Hotel Mario on Philips CD-I, I'm sure Nintendo forgot that game and the Zelda CD-I games since it's not even NIntendo that made them.

On topic, I say a remake of the BS Zelda from the Satelitaview service should be there.

I hope you realize that the max size of WiiWare games is approxately 40 MB. So unless you like N64 graphics, it's not possible.

I agree that nintendo has been skimpy on the first party offerings... but they didn't rule it out. On gametrailers TV e3 special Reggie said that first-party wiiware games are coming so there some positive info. :)

After reviewing the current trend of Wiiware games I say this month will most likely be a bullcrap sandwitch with some stale chips on the side. There are a few good Wiiware games but it seems as though only one comes out every 8-10 weeks.

didn't Nintendo confirm that there wasn't a limit on WiiWare games?

dang nice find, but i dont really think the graphics matter, i'd be fine with N64 graphics as long as it ran smoothly and worked well
