For those of you Gamespot users out there,

what would you say were the reasons why you loved, or still love, the Snes?

The real question is "what's NOT to like about the SNES".

The thing is legendary and I still play mine now.

Games, plain and simple. Super Mario World, A Link to the Past, Starfox, F-Zero, Final Fantasy IV/VI, Secret of Mana, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario All-Stars, ect.,

Even decent games like Super R-Type rocked with kick ass soundtracks, one of the best eras in gaming imo.

The depth of its library.

Over two decades after the console arrived, I still stumble upon good SNES games I should give a try.

The only thing not to like is the insane cost of collecting some of the games now...

The awesome sound, the mode 7 graphics, the top loading cartridges, that perfect controller, and the boat load of games this thing had. Only wish I would have kept all of them from way back. Kinda miss the bit wars and arguing with friends about who had the superior hardware. The 16-bit era was epic!

Totally this! I find myself listening to a lot of SNES music.

The thing I love most about the SNES is that not a single gamer can build a compelling argument against it.
