You get used to the controls. While it's use of stylus is a bit "clunky" compared to Animal Crossing or Phantom Hourglass, I still think it's a step in the right direction for HM games. There's a lot more to do, a lot more people to meet and greet AND other places to go. So I think the HM people were listening to us when we were complaining about the other HMs.
I just wish they gave us an "either or" so you could use either the stylus or the controls.
Play Rune Factory or Rune Factory 2 (it'll be realeased soon) instead! They are wayyyyyyy better than Harvest Moon (for the DS). You don't need to use the touch screen.
Controls suck! I have never been ashamed to tell people the latest game I have played... "Island Of Happiness"??? Come on now, that should have been a clear hint that this game is gay
