Not only is it the best 3D Mario platformer, not only is it the best Mario platformer, period, not only is it the best platformer that I have played, it's one of the better games I've played. I gave it a 10 here on Gamespot, though a big part of that is because of the .5 system. Otherwise, it would get, like, a 9.8 or 9.9. A few weaker elements, but compared to the whole, the weaker elements seem so insignificant.

Awesome, I'm 180 stars in and let me say some of the later green stars become almost impossible...almost! lol i looked at the first star from the first bowser Jr stage and was like "WTF? how the hell will i reach it?!?". good thing i have awesome wall jumping skills :P

You mean the one that's on the far left tower at the beginning?
yep. only way i found to get there was to wait until the thwomp was at its highest (i'm over it), long jump in the direction of the wall, spin right before making contact, wall jump, spin and fall over the castle walls.

It is probably the most versatile, innovative title I've ever played. Every world brought a new gameplay idea that felt like it could have been its own game. Although I wouldn't give it a 10/10, more like a 9.8.
