What do you think about the Amiibo?

I think the Amiibo is pretty cool.

Forgot to mention that having a CPT. falcon figure would be cool to.

I think they're a neat concept. My stepson will want a few, and I'll likely get the Link figure. Just because I'm a sucker for Zelda stuff.

Eh as normal statues they're just fine but as a major thing for the console they are superfluous. Memory is not limited these days and everything about them could be handled by downloadable content.

I thought it was brilliant since Nintendo aficionados love collecting and if they handle this right it could be memorable and highly addicting to collectors if they make the perk items truly exclusive. People buy add-on now in the virtual sense with nothing to show at the end of the day, so if you give them a figure it might seem more practical.

sadly I be only buying them for smash since I'm a smash fan. nothing against people buying toy like Disney infinity or skylander since that their money but kind of shows you can easy milk costumers over a thing aim at kids.

I can see the potential in them. I wont buy all of them. But 1 every once in awhile I probably will.

Forcing consumers to buy tacky figures is not the way to go about introducing DLC.

Post-purchase content is a simple concept, one that Nintendo don't seem to understand at all.

The concept has promise and could potentially be interesting.

I can't really get excited for it though until I hear more from Nintendo on what kinda of things they will do with Amiibo and get a general idea on what this will add to games that have Amiibo functionality.
