Both those things are impossible. Try again.
Before the Wii came out, Nintendo announced that it will play DVDS. What happened? It didnt! So i want Wii to play DVDs. Also:
1) DVD Channel (like I said)
2) Music Channel (downlaod music to your Wii, watch music videos)
3) Instant Messanger Channel (use MSN, Rogers, or Yahoo! to instanlty message your friends and family)
4) Demo Channel (Watch new videos on upcomign Wii games, play the demos of them as well, and connect your DS to the Wii)
5) Stock Channel ( Check money issues and stocks around the world)
1) DVD Channel (like I said)
4) Demo Channel (Watch new videos on upcomign Wii games, play the demos of them as well, and connect your DS to the Wii)

DVD's aren't possible without new hardware and Demos aren't possible without a hard drive. I don't understand why people keep asking about these things.

Well wiiware games are quite big but are somehow going to be released. They might use SD cards.

WiiWare games won't be very big. They'll be about the same size as N64 games or smaller. I believe IGN said that Nintendo is only allowing games 40 or 50 MB or less.
A small demo would be hundreds of megabytes. It's just not feasible. What's the point of releasing demo's when you can only fit one on the system, and that's provided your Wii's memory is empty.

maybe it could be downloaded one at a time, played, then erased.
can any1 tell me what game is better, mario olympics or medal of honour hereos
medal of honor heroes 2 is way better especially if you have online
bowster1992
Friend Channel which allows you to see if your mates are online, see what they're doing, chat to them etc. And then have the ability to have it run in the background while you're doing other stuff. But seeing how the Wii restarts itself everytime you leave a channel (or that's what I think it does), I dont think it'll work. :(

Or... Nintendo could release an optional external HDD that could store all the demos we could ever want along with all our VC games, Wii Ware games, game saves, downloadable content, etc. But apparently Nintendo thinks that's a bad idea...
Until Nintendo stops being stubborn, we'll never see demos or downloadable content.

though thats true, nintendo specifclly said they want to cater to both the casual gaming adiunce and the hardcore gamers so if they really meant that then realsing a HDD would be in nintendo's best intrest[QUOTE="Rocky32189"][QUOTE="gamer6464"][QUOTE="Rocky32189"][QUOTE="gamer6464"][QUOTE="Rocky32189"][QUOTE="ds_wiirocks"]1) DVD Channel (like I said)

That's why its optional. The people who want tons of downloads on their system will buy the hard drive and everyone that doesn't will be more than happy with the internal flash RAM.
I'm not saying it will sell like crazy. But it will still be profitable for Nintendo since they'll be able to overcharge you for it, just like they do for everything else. Not only that, but people like me would download more stuff if they actually had a place to put it. Nintendo is losing money by not having a hard drive and making themselves look foolish by refusing to admit that there is a problem.
