Here's your chance to sound off on what you think is the biggest thing the Wii is missing. It can be 3rd party support, CD/DVD playability, better online, anything you want. Just make sure you back it up.

- RPGs
- Strategy RPGs
- More serious third party support (its starting to show though)
Everything else is fine.
Haziqonfire
This is all that i need.
it needs developers(3rd party) that are willing to take time and effort into making its gamesArclight_Blue
amen.
It needs the following: - a harddrive - good online play - more mature games - DVD player capabilities-Sphere-
i agree with those... and only those. the other ones are... well not so much to be agreed with by myself.
I would take a DVD player in the wii, because my PS2 is dead, and i have no other usable dvd players. besides my computer... but its not hooked up to my 32" tv.
It needs the following: - a harddrive - the ability to produce HD graphics - good online play - more mature games - standard controllers - less minigames games - if they will keep Wiimote then 4 sensor bars are needed for correct accuracy - DVD player capabilities-Sphere-
Dude, if you want all that you would be better off to tradein the Wii and go buy a 360. TheWii was not ment tobe the most hightech by graphics wise, have the most memory, or have the best online support. It was ment to try to get everyone into it and try to get people to to get off their butts and do something.
It needs the following: - a harddrive - the ability to produce HD graphics - good online play - more mature games - standard controllers - less minigames games - if they will keep Wiimote then 4 sensor bars are needed for correct accuracy - DVD player capabilities-Sphere-
Standard controllers? Well, first off there is the clas$ic controller and ability to use the gamecube controller, but isn't motion control the whole point?
4 Sensor bars? wat? What exactly would be the point or advantage of that?
DVD player? Well, most everyone has one already, but even if you don't you can go to wal mart and get a pretty high quality one now for $20. Before I got my 360, my Xbox and PS2 DVD players weren't working too well, and that's exactly what I did... got a nice Magnavox DVD player for $19.99 at wal mart that's loaded with features.
I agree with some of your suggestions, but overall it seems the Wii is just not right for you. Get a PS3 or a 360.
More JRPGs, -sigh- it is something Nintendo lacks(Wait....it has always lacked that, right?)megamanzero32
No, absolutely NOT true. The NES and especially the SNES had many classic Japanese RPGs in their library. Game series such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest[Dragon Warrior], Breath of Fire and the Chrono saga all began their life on Nintendo systems.
realistically:
bluetooth voice chat
external hard drive /sdhc reader
unrealistically:
wireless-N / RJ45 jack
1080p
Dolby TrueHD / DTS-HD
-Third party support
-RPGs in general
-Shooters in general (be careful what you wish for, I know)
-Less variation in pricing for games. I bought Thrillville over Fire Emblem because it was a mere $20, but the latter is obviously a better choice.
-Some form of pictochat online. My friends and I would have a ball...or two...*shudder*
the 3 biggest thigns the wii needs are
1) better 3rd party support. were starting to see some projects with potential like deadly creatures and mad world and some great stuff on wiiware like lost winds. so more of that please.
2) improved storage solution. ideally a firmware update that will allow apps to run from external storage deviced like HDDs, falsh sticks and SD cards. failing that...a HDD from ninty that does the same thing. 10GB should do the job nicely.
3) online coms and a more consistent online system among games. mario kart level with coms would be perfect.
Online FPS games utilizing the zapper. Medal of Honor was decent for a multiplayer fix and as an example for what could be done, but this has not been acted upon properly. So far it looks like a huge waste of potential on the side of game developers since the Wii has been out. Much better oculd be done, and it could be very lucrative. This confuses me to no end.
Also, RPGs. Where are they? Perhaps there should indeed be more third party support to help make a greater variety of games available to those of us who think a genre is lacking on the system (in my opinion FPS and RPG have been dry areas...)
What would be a good way to make this happen? More VC downloadable games would be nice, but this puts retailers rather unhappy, esspecially with how good video game sales have been for the past few years. I'm thinking clought on their part is partly why we aren't seening this service being used to it's full potential.
So in short, there is a lot of potential being wasted.
RPGs
HDD or SD storage solution
3rd party support that actually puts work into their games for the Wii (it's starting to emerge though)
That's all it needs

didnt you make a thread like this like 2 days ago??... god if u have that much to complain about the wii dont play it
WII needs the following
1) Better games that would work with online and ACTUALLY have decent online.
2) A Hard Drive
3) More 3rd Party support/More Hardcore Games
4) HD Graphics
5) A NEW STAR FOX GAME!
i dont understand some of this stuff. yes stuff like even more third party projects, better online i can understand. But a lot of people just seem to make the wii into a 360 eg. give it HD graphics a more strandard controller. and thats not what the wii is about at all
a hard drive of course and since nintendo got the online right on mario kart... more online games set up like that.
more third party games, and some shooters mayb? it needs a wayy better online system, and a hard drive would be nice.

I see you have an xbox, stick with that!!!
All the Wii needs is a little tighter of control and more nintendo games.
I don't want "hardcore games" on the Wii, I have my PC for that, the PC is the best gaming device. I use the Wii for fun, not killing, plus the controls are not tight enough for a shooter.

Yeah that covers it

After reading that, I had to open my eyes and actually realise that all that is true! Most of my favorite RPGs, began with Nintendo. Haha, I have been blind! Thanks for posting that, I really needed to open my eyes for a bit.
More RPG's
Voice Chat
For people who get alot of VC's and etc, more storage
More online games
What that one person said earlier. Basically more games that doesn't star Mario. I know theres no Nintendo without Mario, but come on... Nothing against Mario, just want to play something else for a change! Release a Kirby game or something Nintendo! Do they have one out?
It needs good games. I don't care if it's a JRPG, FPS or Raping Simulator, it just needs some more good games. There's only two or three third party games worth playing.toadster101Um......wow....just wow.... :|

He must be pretty desperate if he wants that kind of game.
