I'm getting a DS and want to know what to get.

I am getting New Super Mario and Final Fantasy 3 for sure.

What would you recommend?

Check out the Phoenix Wright games. There isn't a lot of replayability but they are very good games. ;)

Kirby Canvas Curse! It's definitely my favorite DS game. If you like platformers... But it makes great use of the stylus and touch screen.I also love the Castlevania games. Both of them are really good. But seriously, go with Kirby CC, you won't be disappointed. Go to metacritic.com and see; 44 of the 48 reviewers (including all the credible ones) gave it 4 out of 5 stars or better.

i'd reccomend getting Yoshi's Island. It's a fairly long game and you go through worlds and levels, and it's a really fun adventure game. I'd also reccomend getting Mario Kart because it's one of the best racing games out for the DS, and it has good wi-fi connectability, and it's very fun. If your into classsic games, then you should get Tetris. In my opinion, it's a really addictive game and the wi-fi is pretty fun. If you are into RPG(Role Playing Games)I suggest getting Mario and Luigi: Partners In Time. That game is one of the top RPG games for the DS. Yoshi's Island got a 9.1, Mario Kart got a 9.2, and Tetris got a 7.5, and Mario and Luigi: Partners In Time got an 8.9

Tetris, Mario Kart, FF III, NSMB, Yoshi's Island, Phoenix Wright, Hotel Dusk, Puzzle Quest, Advance Wars, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Mario & Luigi: Partners In time, Sonic Rush, WarioWare, Custom Robo, Resident Evil, Lunar Knights and Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime. Just to name a few.

Phoenix Wright!

You Have To Get PHOENIX WRIGHT!!

Its easily one of the most entertaining game on the ds. i place Phoenix Wright even over NSMB.

It won't disappoint you.

also, watching a video won't really help show what the game is like. reading a review might be better but you have to really PLAY the game to know what its really like.

Definally get the Pokemon diamond/pearl game which is coming out on april 22nd, get Mario Kart DS, Get Metriod Prime Hunters as well

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. New Super Mario Bros., Final Fantasy III and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow would be an awesome mix of DS games to start with.
