they don't. but what you also may not have known is that santa and your parents have a sort of IOU understanding, in which the jolly ol' fat man uses his ultra-platinum mastercard to purchase all of your electronic gifts, and then is reimbursed later in the year.

..and you wonder why we pay taxes. sheesh.
