What FF would you want to see remade on the DS?

Final Fantasy VI.

I know it was on the GBA, but it seems a good candidate for a DS remake. I am sure we would get a V before VI on the DS, which is fine also. Thinking realistically, I wouldn't expect a FF past VI to show up on the DS. I'm sure the DS could handle them, but it would be like putting a car in reverse instead of drive.

it is the best rpg out there. but then again, i havent finished 7 or 10 yet, but im pretty sure ill still love 6 the most.

I've played Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XII

Basically all the main ones...

Final Fantasy IX is my favorite Final Fantasy game and actually one of my favorite games of all time.

If there was a remake on DS of it though I would be dissapointed because the graphics and content would be limited and probably of poorer quality than the original because of the memory difference on the four CD-ROMs and DS cartridge... I would personally like a PSP or PS3/Xbox 360 remake of Final Fantasy IX which would do it justice.

Too bad, since asking for a civil discussion when comparing FF7 to much better games is always a recipe for disaster whether you want it or not.

At this point in gaming history, true old-school FF fans are FF7/8/10 (sci-fi) fans are entirely different fanbases. To compare a sci-fi game like FF7 is sort of an insult to the old-school crowd who stayed with the series from the beginning and had to watch it go downhill when it hit the Playstation.

Really, comparing FF6 to FF7 is like comparing Guernica to the Campbell Soup Can.

This entire topic was needless, since they're remaking all of the old FF's in a linear fashion. They won't be remaking FF6 or Final Sci-Fi 7 before remaking FF5 first.Zweihand

onlyones that should be put on the ds is from 6 and under, unless square-soft wants to ruin there good games..... (i know its enix but the orignal was soft)

im not trying to be rude just the ds dosent have "Amazeing" graphics to hold some Ps .ect .ect graphics.

i personally think the ds should only play like childish games like Pokemon Digimon Dragons quest ect ect.

but i do like the ds i own one but... they should not go that far ds is only for family to Jump to ff7 and up is like smacking god in the face for giving you such a beautiful gift,

i am surpised that the wii realeased No more heros, when i played it i was like Whoa nintendo released this......

but i think nintendo should just stick with family stuff and leave Playstation and Xbox for the teenagers stuff like fallout 3 - and Metal Gear4

My vote is for FFVII, provided they can make it work for the DS without sacrificing too much.

HOWEVER, everyone here should know that FFV and FFVI are in fact being released first. It was announced way back when that FFIII and IV remakes would be followed by V and VI. After that we'll wait to see where they go.

I'll be kind of pissed if they end up doing a FFVII remake that requires the DSi.
