What game should I get in order to get back into the Wii?

I am looking to get back into the Wii, and I already have these games:

SSBB (but the disk can't read)

Mario Strikers Charged

GH3

Super Mario Party 8

Super Mario Galaxy

And a couple others I think.

So what are some rather new games for the Wii that I should get?

Look for the more unusual titles like Cooking Mama or maybe start a collection of puzzle games like Gravity.

Well, you should probably get a working Brawl, as that is a great game.

Definitely Mario Kart, check out Wii Sports Resort when it comes out in a couple weeks, and Twilight Princess.

Check the sticky for the best results, though.

Tiger Woods 10 or/and Grand Slam Tennis. With the MotionPlus. That's helped get me back into playing the Wii.

This, without a doubt this. De Blob and World of Goo brought me back to Wii gaming when I was very, VERY close to selling it. Been playing dozens over dozens of hours and have bought about 20 games since then.

The WiiMotionPlus looks like the beginning of a new era for Nintendo Wii games. We'll finally get the 1:1 controls that people expected when we first heard about the Wii's motion controls. So get Wii Sports Resort to get back into the Wii.

I guess the ultimate test that will determine how successful the WiiMotionPlus will be is Red Steel 2. If this peripheral rejuvenates this game to something as great as we wanted the first game to be, then the Wii will be that much of a better console.

No. MotionPlus is "just" an enhanced, 100% reliable gyroscope, i.e. tilt sensor. It doesn't know anything about the position of the wiimote in relation to the player, to the ground, or to the TV. Every game in WSR is ultimately tilt-based, even archery and swordfighting.

It does some great things, the gesture detection is perfect and scarily sensitive/precise, and it can do some nice 1:1ish emulation for certain situations, but that's it.

Punch-Out andMario Kart are great.

Animal Crossing: City Folk. It seems kiddy at first, but soon it starts to get really fun. Although it didn't get great reviews, (because it is practically the same as the othe Animal Crossing games) every Animal Crossing game is great. The only problem with AC is that it sorta devours your social life.zacmando

Well, these ae games that Ihaven't played, but they look pretty good. Little King's Story, (only out in Europe now, I can't wait till Canada release) and Animal Crossing City Folk. I have the DS Animal Crossing, and really liked it, so I might get the Wii version. From what I've seen with Animal Crossing, you either hate it, or get addicted to it.

My thoughts exactly. Also take a look at some of the newer ones to come out and pick some of the ones that seem interesting, like excitebots for example.
