This is the most stupid thing that nintendo ever made

Plz nintendo, DONT lose your time doing this, and please stop doing these stupid ps1 like japanese games. They SUCK.

When they will wake up and do something good like mario galaxy or zelda again to at least TRY to beat fallout 3 and lots of other games for the others consoles ?

Sry if my english sucks

None. GC games are already available for the Wii. Why pay $40-$50 for a new port when you can get it off ebay or out of a cheap rack at a game trading store for $10?

These sounds like a pretty good idea if they were doing this on more older games, N64(Star Fox 64) maybe or even NES, to be honest the only GC game that interest me is Pikmin.

The only games I would like to have a Wii revamp would be the rare games that sell for elevated price levels.I don't want a Wii version of Metroid Prime when I can find it at any EB Games for $5; I want a copy of Pikmin 2 that I could find in the store new, without having to search every EB Games I can find to see if they have a copy of it for $25.

None. I bought the wii to play original ames. Not ports of 5 year old games with motion controls cheaply stuck on. Those game al ven playable on the wii right now. There's no reason to port them.

To be honest, i'm actually a little frightened that people are still asking for last gen ports to come to the wii instead of new games.

I'm all for these, as long as they come at a cheap price (I'm talking 19.99 each) and it's not like Nintendo has their A or B teams on these games so I'm not worried about future nintendo games either.

Jaysonguy

They're not going to use their top tier teams working on these ports. Or their 2nd tier teams. Or their 3rd. Or their 4th. Or their 5th. Or their 6th.

In other words, they're using the guys who would never be allowed to touch a new game.

It brings in more money, which in turn brings more money for their 1st tier and 2nd tier development teams. And their 3rd. And their 4th...

I'd be interested if I knew how much they're going to change the game. Adding online play to their multiplayer games would be pretty sweet. Four Swords, Smash, Mario Kart, Power Tennis, F-Zero?

Yes! Put like a two/three pack on one disk. Like Pikmin and Pikmin 2, or Metroid Prime 1 and 2. It would be a better idea then just one game.

Why would you sit here waiting when you could pick them up cheaper now and play them :|. What exactly are Nintendo planning on doing to enhance these games? because to be honest they won't be able to better how they played on a conventional controller anyway.

So are the remakes going worldwide or just Japanese exclusives? I'd like to know because the Pikmen remake is release in Japan on Christmas, and I'd like to buy the cube version. Didn't get a chance to play them much back in the cube days.

Pikmin 1 and 2. Didn't play them on gamecube and can't find them now, so those. And the people complaining about gamecube ports stop. No one was mad when capcom did it with re4 and these are good games being reworked to use the wii. You can't stop nintendo, no matter how many times you post on this website or others. So deal with it. And I also might get donkey kong jungle beat because I didn't want to buy the bongos.

Spiderman 2 and Ultimate Spiderman

Could be a bit of a legal wrangle there but Spiderman 2 would rock on Wii.

I really don't see the point of porting a game, when I can play the original on the wii already. What I wouldn't mind seeing nintendo do is rerelease the gamecube games, as gamecube games, same as the original versions. They could release about 10 top tier games they know would sell.(sunshine, pikmin 1 and 2, windwaker, luigis mansion metriod prime 1 and 2, etc.) There is no reason to remake a game that is only one generation old, and plays on the new system.

Oh okay.

So instead of having an older game, remade with motion controls...

You'd rather have the game released EXACTLY how it was ten years ago?

That makes perfect sense.

He wants Nintendo to re-release Gamecube games, but keep them as they were.

I think that's a terrible idea.

Why release games you can already play as they are?

At least with the GC port idea, these games will be given motion controls.

So we get a somewhat new experience.

He wants the SAME exact experience, except with"Wii" on the box cover.

Make sense now? :P

Ohhhhhhh

Well that I wouldn't mind.

IF, and I mean IF, people don't want to buy them new online I wouldn't care if Nintendo made more player's choice versions of those games. Just tell Frank "Hey Frank make 100k copies of Pikmin and shove them out."

That wouldn't take any of Nintendo's resources.

It'd definitely be easier than tracking the games down.

But given the choice between a re-release of the same game, or an enhanced port, and I'll choose the port every time!

Especially since most of those games were centered around the GC controller, and I'd have to track one down to play the games correctly.

Then again, I haven't played these games before. So I can see why we'd see this differently.

Some games would really benefit from motion controls. But I'm still going to be buying Pikmin for $7 from a person I know soon rather than waiting to buy it for $30+ from Nintendo.

I really don't see myself shelling out for Wii versions of perfectly good GC games I already own, but it might appeal to someone who hasn't played them yet. This sounds like a good way for Nintendo to get a little more mileage out of some of those games.

I think there are enough people who have wiis but didn't have a gamecube who will buy these.

The only problem(and it could be a fairly big problem) with rereleasing gamecube games, is that gamecube controlers and memory cards are hard to find. But I really don't want a game that wasn't made for the wiimote, with wii controls cheaply tacked on and have to pay 10 to 20 bucks more for it.

What games are they porting anyway? I've seen allot of people complaining about it, but havn't seen any specific titles mentioned.

Metroid 1&2, Pikmin 1&2, Mario Tennis, DK jungle beat, ...there are more but I can't remember.

And these should (fromwhat I understand) be on wii disks and not need memory cards or GC controllers. They're re-doing the controls to use waggle and IR.

Metroid Prime 1+2, Pikmin 1+2, ChibiRobo, and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat.

Personally I will buy the Metroid Prime games if they control like MP3 because I don't own the GC games and would prefer IR controls. Pikmin 2 is expensive and very hard to come buy, so I can understand why some might want it (though I already have it and it works fine). ChibiRobo and Donkey Kong though ... I'll probably buy them for the same reason some would get Pikmin 2 (not having the GC version and not caring enough to hunt them down used for a reasonable price).

Sorry, i was still talking about my post earlier about just rereleasing the gamecube games instead of porting them.
