What happened to Sadness?

Does anyone remember this game? Nibris made it sound so good around Wii release. They made it sound like one of the most unique games ever to be created... But what happened? >___>

It was to fool people there was an actual game being made while they tried to advertise other efforts.

this has being post several times... but the conclusion (so far) is that is still going but is waiting for publisher.. some said is cancel.. and some would flame you (and me) bc we are STILL waiting/wondering about this game...

We were supposed to get stuff back at Leipzig, but that never happened. Nibris was supposed to release Double Bloob for the DS last year and Double Pang for the Wii Q1 this year. Neither happened. They still won't even comment on whether ROTR is coming to WiiWare. Basically, they're a company with a lot of big dreams and no guidance or way of reaching their goals. It's best we never discuss them again, they've already broken my heart once.

But in all seriousness, they had some games like Raid Over the River, which is shooter for DS (like Nanostray) and some others I myself have forgotten.

I remember when they released a "trailer" and I was like "OMG YES FINALLY SOME GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE :D" (huge horror nut, loved the idea, supposedly horrifying). And of course it was a live action "demo" of some chick parading around in a tunnel and a shadow moves across the screen. Huge let down.

Give up guys its not coming out ever. All we get is Obscure, Alone in the Dark, and RE.

Everyone who worked on this game got too sad to make it any more, so they all quit.

I really wanted this game to exist. Way to kill my hopes and dreams. I mean, after writing my term paper on Gothic video games, Sadness looked brilliant to me.

Sadness made me sad. Now I have sadness. :cry:

It seems like at least once a month, a "Whatever happened to..." thread is started, either about Saddness, Disaster: Day of Crisis, or Project H.A.M.M.M.E.R. At first glance, I actually thought this was a thread I replied to a few weeks ago.

To sum up, Saddness and Hammer are pretty much scrapped, and Disaster is looking like it will be delayed until infinity! At least with Disaster, I occasionally hear things about the game's developement, even though I haven't seen a new screenshot since it was first announced back in '06. The release date is still TBA 2008, so it could possibly come out this year.
