just a question
would you let one of nintendos flagship titles (mario, zelda, metroid etc.) be made on all consoles if other titles like halo or metal gear solid come onto wii

How about there only be 1 game console with different ways to play each game. You might choose to play Madden with the Wiimote or a Xbox/PS3 type controller.Icegoten200
that would be good but
a/ which would you chose
b/ that would make it very hard for game developers to make games with 2 completly different control schemes for evey game
It depends on what game im playing. For Madden I might have to go with the PS3/Xbox controls since i have't tried out on the wii. But shooter games and stuff like that I would go with wii controls.
Also its not that hard. They do it now anyways they just break the game controls apart and put it on each system.
um...doing that would make the 360 the most popular console. if the 360 had all of our titles plus their own, then everyone would buy it because the 360 has way better online (no offense but its true). i'm sure people would buy a360 with great online, 360 titles, and Nintendo titles. NOT a console with undeveloped online, Nintendo titles, 360 titles. Nintendo titles is what makes NINTENDO THE BEST! although i would want GTA4 and Bioshock on the wii...Jayesler12
but the wii would have motion controls whith which the play games like halo bioshock or halo 3
and also most of the flafship ninty games havn't got online multi anyway
Very stupid idea. Nintendo is truly the only system that has such exclusive titles like Zelda, Mario, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, etc. If those same games were out on other systems, there would be absolutely no reason to buy a Nintendo console. Microsoft has been trying their butts off to make a name for themselves. If they had their hands on ANY of those titles, the XBox would sky-rocket in sales. As would the PS3. And sadly, Nintendo's Wii would bomb... or worse, Nintendo would end up like Sega. Look what happened to them when they let go of their mascots. Sonic is pretty much a whore right now. He is on every single system and has about a billion different games. Be honest; what's the last Sonic game that truly made you say to yourself, "Wow. That was a great game."?
The main reason the Wii is doing extremely well is because people know that they are going to get a full-gaming experience with Nintendo's exclusive products. Not only is the Wii the most innovative console on the market, but it's the only console that will have Mario games, Zelda games, Metroid games, and Smash Bros! Microsoft and Sony really can't make such claims right now. Their exclusive games haven't made names for themselves, and even the ones that were "exclusive" are not anymore. Final Fantasy has been all over Nintendo's market, the next Kingdom Hearts is going to be on the Wii (exclusively), Resident Evil is not an exclusive anymore, neither is Soul Caliber or most of anything else.
Nintendo marketed perfectly with the Wii, and games of old are actually making their way back to Nintendo, because they know that their stuff will sell on the Wii - but it would be questionable for the other two, in terms of world-wide sales.
So, again, to have Nintendo let go of the products that have made them the stronghold in the gaming market would be business-suicide. There would be no more Nintendo if they did that. End of story.
