It's the mystery of the LoZ timeline that does it for me. With Metroid, we all know what the order is, but with LoZ there's whole websites dedicated to deciphering it all which makes it more engaging as a discussion point and, therefore, the better series.CrankyStormingI really hope there is some sarcasm I cant detect in this post. You cant judge a series based on how hard to decipher the time line is... In an interview with the makers of the Zelda series the boss said that when they make a Zelda game, or any Nintendo game for that mater, they first work out the play mechanics, then the story. This is why almost all of the Nintendo games have such uninspired and boring stories.
I'd play Zelda over Metroid anyday.
I could never get into Metroid games, no matter how long I played one. I haveplayed a good amount of the 2D, and pretty much all of the 3D, Metroids, none of them were bad, yet none of them wereoutright amazing.I don't hate the series, it's just not one of my favorites.
Edit: There was one Metroid game I did enjoy now that I think about it, but the name escapes me. It was 2D and I think it was for a handheld system, possibly a Gameboy Advance.
