My prediction now goes to Kid Icarus. I don't think they would announce with such excitement a new Pikmin or Kirby. Wii Sports 2 no, simply because Wii Fit and Wii Music are coming this year.

Chances are we already know the game for a while now. We're part of the best informed group of gamers. Any little rumor finds its way here. I know nintendo is great at keeping their lips sealed. It just doesn't say much.
As for what game they were talking about, i think i like 90% of the ideas people have posted the past few weeks. The wii could use all kinds of games at the moment. I don't even think there is a genre on the Wii that is overflowing, except maybe on rail shooters. And even they can be different and interesting on the wii from what we have seen so far.
Secretly i am thinking Kid Icarus and i have no idea why. It's not because i heard other people talk about it, cause the feeling came before that. I just don't want people to be disappointed if it turns out to be Wii Music or so.

Well, Reggie has said that it's a game that will please both casual and hardcore gamers, so I wouldn't say it's Kid Icarus, and it's probably not a new Wii Sports or anything. I think it's a new Punch Out. It's the type of game that everybody can play, especially with Wii controls.
I decided to go and look at all of my old games and look at the ones i used to enjoy.
They could make a Pokemon stadium 3, just like the first 2 not like Pokemon battle revolution, if they did that they should add a full fledged adventure mode and allow you to import P from diamond and pearl. That would appeal to hardcore (adventure mode) and casual (mini games).
Maybe even a pokemon snap two. It would be really hard with all 490? or something like that number of pokemon.
The final would be the most unlikely pokemon puzzle league. It used to be the best puzzle game (in my opinion)
I wish it's either an awesome new Star Fox or Earthbound, though I sincerely doubt the later. I believe Reggie said the game would be out by this holiday season, and I'd love to be flying an Arwing or PSI Flashing Blue Cultists this Christmas!

I hate that I'm even thinking it, but I have a strong feeling it will be something like a sequel to Wii Sports or Wii Play. Techinically, they are two of the highest selling games, though I think it's because Wii Sports comes with the console (in North America, at least) and Wii Play comes with a Wiimote.
It would suck, but I would be less disappointed if it was Wii Sports 2. I'd assume that the sequel wouldn't be a glorified tech demo like the first one was; that they'd expand on the sports games, add more, and take it all online somehow.
I have a good feeling it's going to be Star Fox. I hope they make the game a 100% flight based rail shooter like Star Fox 64. Ground missions =/= what Star Fox is supposed to be. Factor 5 could do a pretty good job with this game, but I prefer Nintendo to make it themselves.

Agreed, though if Factor 5 somehow lent their graphical expertise with Nintendo consoles to the project, that would make a new SF that was like SF64 guaranteed awesome! And yes, ground missions should be done away with, though I did like the submarine and tank missions from the N64 version. I'd hope a new game would be around 90% flight, with 5% tank and 5% marine.

I liked the tanks actually. However, I didn't like the sub mission on Aquas in 64. I swear there were some framerate issues on that level.-_-
