What is one of THE...

...most overrated DS games you've ever played?

Like one that was raved about in the community or in reviews and might be a good game but isn't as great as others have said.

I think New Super Mario Bros. takes the cake for me.

I've played it for about 5-7 hours so far, and I'm on world 5 and although it is kinda fun I don't think it deserved a whopping 9 here at Gamespot.

What do you guys really see in this game? I bought it two days ago and have yet to be blown away by it.

And it's SO expensive still 3 years later. -_-

So far I'd give it a 7.5 / 10, tops.

mario kart and phantom hourglass. i see how they're fun, but they aren't really fun

Any of the pokemon games really. They're incredibly basic RPG's with tons of characters. I guess that's all fine because the games are catered towards the younger gamer. Anyone older than 5 can pick it up quite easily. However, it seems to have a this major following and I can't see how any of the games can justify that. Lock's Quest!

I bought this game because IGN hyped the hell out of it (before and after its release). I played it for about an hour and then swapped games.

Oh, same story with Legend of Starfy.

Phantom Hourglass and TWEWY. They're ok games, but not the best thing in the world like every one says.

GTA.....I've played it on numerous systems and it's been overrated every time.

The World Ends With You and New Super Mario Bros. Just my opinion.

Grand Theft Auto, and for DS I think The World Ends With You. I'm not far in the game, but so far I really don't like it.

Edit: Reading the other posts, I also have to say Halo.

I know the topic was DS games, but I just had to throw those out there. Sorry. :P

I think NSMB was the least inventive Mario yet. I can't think of any other (main series) Mario game that isn't more progressive and full of secret fun.

Well, pokemon is like a amusement park for kids on the surface but on the undergroun... where not every person knows about it, it has a secret explosive shop, everyone that know this shop loves it. Do you undenstand what i mean? ;)

Mario Kart DS. What is so flippin' amazing about that game? I'd pick any other Mario Kart over that one.

Final Fantasy III. It still didn't get very high reviews, but that game is still boring compared to the other FFs. And it was very frustrating.cronomagus36

I have to disagree with God of War, though I can understand where your coming from. It seems like a game that wouldn't take anywhere near the amount of time as other games, and seems very simplistic. But its pure entertainment.. The protagonist, the story, the fighting, its just all epic & provides a blockbuster experience. It has some neat puzzles aswell, and throw in the simple upgrade system for weapons & magic & it gives players something to aim for while carving up the enemy.

As I said though, I can understand why alot of people may not like it..... He climbed his way out of hell though man! Thats just bad@55!

Mario Kart. I only use it for ad-hoc, 'cause online is bugged with TERRIBLE noob snakers, or hackers. And the single player is just to mundane for me. As a party game for about half an hour, but not something I'd dig deep into :P
