ign seemed extremely impressed http://wii.ign.com/articles/803/803978p1.html
i imaginethe greatness is not in the overall aiming, but probably in free aiming lock on and all of those simple but immersive task like door opening and cockpit button mashing.
Im not badmouthing it,im seriously asking. I keep hearing all over the internet about how great it is, but what makes it any different from Red Steel of Call Of duty?orangespanky
I don't know either, I have played it yet. But IGN really likes it.
idk i have never really liked the metroid control scheme its extremely different then most shooter games where one joystick turns the player and the other one moves them forward. With metroid, one joystick does both which i hate using after playing games like halo that make use of the typical double joystick movement.jaemillz555
i'm pretty sure the wii version dosn't do that. i think it works like a normal wii shooter

well there is only one joystick so how would that be any different then the controls from before?

have you ever played a wii fps? you use the pointer. its way more fun than an analog stick
You can use the Wii Zapper with any game...it just might not play that well.
The control scheme is great because you get the advantage of being able to aim more naturally (a whole hand instead of one or two fingers). RE4's controls were great and almost everyone agrees with me. MP3 is different in that you can free target without being locked in one position. I haven't had the joy of playing Red Steel, but I imagine that one of the biggest problems is the hyper sensativity with the free look. People learned from that and tightened up the system AND added the lock on to make strafing a breeze.
It's really much more similiar to the two joystick controls, only with aiming coming from your entire hand. More joints, more muscles, more sensativity, better aim.
can you use the wii zapper on it?Younggun135
no. you use the nunchuck alot because samus uses her other hand alot. one example is the whip (or whatever that blue thing is.) by flicking the nunchuck, you can shoot a blue whip at enemies. you cant flick the nunchuck with the zapper. that would move the wiimote too.
