What is the big holiday seller going to be?

Well, it's not going to be Zelda like some people had hoped. :P

But we are getting big titles such as Donkey Kong, Kirby, Metroid, Goldeneye and of course we still have Galaxy 2.

I would imagine Donkey Kong being the big seller this holiday season. Galaxy 2 is most likely going to continue selling plenty as well. Wii Party will probably sell a few million with the casual Wii owners.

Do you think any of these titles would go on to sell as well as New Super Mario Bros did during the holiday season? That seemed to be flying off the shelves (at least where I live).

They wont have one like they did last year with NSMBwii.

Yes they have donkey kong and kirby, but both of those aren't as big as mario. and smg2 and metroid other m's release dates arent even close to the holiday season.

if the 3DS comes for the holiday, then expect that to be their big money maker

You can count on me buying a Wii and DKC soon :P. DKC is amazing and I hope this one can be atleast somewhat as good. I am sure it will sell enough. To be honest its the Metroid series (prime anyway) that has a very targeted audience and sells the least out of Nintendo's first party titles, so I am kinda shocked they still make them, but hey I am not complaining.

No. As others have mentioned, Nintendo's biggest title for the holiday season is likely to be Wii Party, but I don't see even that touching NSMBWii-like numbers. Even if it does have the Wii branding behind it, it's no 2D Super Mario game, which is still as close to an all-appealing game as you're going to come across.

If Nintendo hopes to have comparable software sales to last year, it's going to have to be a "by committiee" effort from all of the games available at the end of this year, and it's not going to be an easy task by any stretch to reach just NSMB, let alone the other games, like Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort.

lol I completely forgot about FE :P. I never really got into those games I guess that is why.

I am pretty sure that Wii Party will be the big holiday seller this year.

I hope that DKCR and Kirby do really well this year. I don't want there to be a big drought like that for either of these games ever again.

As for me, I am really lookig forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby Epic Yarn, Epic Mickey, and Metroid: Other M (even though it comes out August 31)

I also can't forget Sonic 4, but that's a multi-plat so I don't know if that counts.

Wii Party is aimed directly for the Wii's core, I expect that to sell well

I'm looking forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns. I'm not quite sold on the name yet but it will have to do. DKCR looks amazing.

im let down by the kirby game so I won't be contributing to sales for that one most likely. I'd like to see DK get some of the limelight.
