Just curious because I see there is a dead zone when it comes to game reviews. I ordered it on the strength of the development team. What is the verdict?

I'd try to get your money back if I were you.whisperingmute
Ah, what the hell I was sold on the sell of the concept and who did the soundtrack. If I don't like it I will send it back to Amazon. 8)

That's the best way to look at it. For all ya know, it could be a game you're willing to play to the end. Everyone has a game they like which has generally been not well recieved by gamers.
I read a review recently, either here on GS or in EGM where they said the best part of the game was it's concept art... that the game had a strong visual content, but that the game doesn't nearly live up to the premise and the artwork. That being said, I have bought games like "Star Trek: Tactical Assault" against critics and against posters here on this forum, and enjoyed it completely for what it was. It fed the Star Trek game jones of the moment and I ended up doing well and having fun.
This game may not be a total wash, it might just be nothing special to the greater masses. But in YOUR hands, the game becomes entertainment. Never be afraid to blaze your own trail in gaming, there are far too many sheep as it is. Play it and post up when you've gotten into it, let us know what you think. Maybe eat some mushrooms, then play it, THEN review it...

That was 1UP and they were reviewing the Wii game, not the DS one. Nintendo Power gave the DS game a 50% and the Wii game an 80%.
If you are asking to get it I really wouldn't to tell you the truth it didn't get that good of a review.Just curious because I see there is a dead zone when it comes to game reviews. I ordered it on the strength of the development team. What is the verdict?

Agreed. Reviews are the personal opinion of usually one person; why let one person stop you from perhaps missing out on a good game? I find it weird that the games that are not reviewed, (because of no hype) and ones with low scores, are the more fun games in my book. I thought it looked pretty interesting and was hoping to pick up a copy whether they said it sucked or not.

There is actually a great review ( not meaning the game is great) of this game on IGN. I will give you a overview of this game shortly. But does it have it's flaws? Yes Did they rush development? Probably Does it have potential? Oh, you can tell if it's revamped it as some potential.I will be fair, for some guys from austin texas with a dream and vision, I think this is a impressive effort. When gaming comes to mind you don't think "Austin Texas" The game is challenging though.

Not to sound like a smart punk, but Texas and video gaming are TOTALLY linked in my world... Ever heard of Mesquite TX., iD Software? :D Only the finest game creators in the industry... no for real - I love my "DOOM" so I'm a freak... but don't they still hold QuakeCon down there every year too?
