You would be incorrect on the second account for sure. Specifically since III is easier than the first two.
Metal Slug no Continue is the hardest challenge on the console. The hardest game you can beat would be House of the Dead 2.
The first stage and a half in Shiki III was almost too easy, but then the 2nd stage mid-boss and everything after it took a huge difficulty spike which I thoroughly enjoyed. And no, IMO, one-credit clearing Shiki III was much, MUCH harder than 1CC'ing the first two games. Probably because the game is a collaboration with Skonec, developer of the astoundingly difficult Psyvariar series, and it SHOWS...
Well if this includes VC games, then I'd go with Mario Bros: The Lost Levels. Even with 99 Lives, I still can't do it. I'm stuck on the last level, and I just don't have it in me to memorize it anymore.
If VC is not included, I'd have to go with Tetris. I just can't seem to beat "Endless On".
Metroid Prime is somewhat tough. Right now i'm stuck on a ship where I need energy cells and don't have enough. Now I have to search everywhere i've been to find the overlooked cells. Very hard. Also, RE4 has a good difficulty level IMO.
Trauma Center: Second Opinion (I think that is what it is called), Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Megaman 9, Hard settings in Doctor Mario and "Luigi's Purple Coins" in SMG.
I wouldn't say too many games on the Wii are too difficult, but I've had to go Trauma Center: Second Opinion. SSX Blur took a little getting used to though.
Hardest to play for me was Secret Rings because I felt like I was dying slowly through the whole thing. In terms of difficulty, I don't really know. None of my games are challenging enough. I've gotta admit though, beating Animal Crossing is hard, much harder than beating Tetris with Endless on. :P
