Listen to this excert of this article in OXM(Official Xbox Magazine).
"The Wii's success may seem counter-intuitive to hardcore gamers who care about HD screen resolutions, voice chat, Gamertags, and achievement points. But a mainstream audience exists that would rather swing a baton rather than touch the the button consumed 360 and PS3 controllers."
That is what fueled this topic for me.

You just proved my point.
[QUOTE="kobedagamer"]i want to c a little ten year old beat zelda tp or godfatherPikaPichuIf a 10 year old can figure out the water temple in Ocarina of Time, then I'm sure they can complete Twilight Princess. Haha yeah, I played A Link to the Past when I was proably 8 or so, not too far out of question. Mind you, I wasn't 100% aware of what to do, but I enjoyed it none the less.
It seems that if you have a wii that you are just a casual gamer wh doesnt enjoy shooter game or any game too complicated for a 10 year old child.Ale_22People only say that because there aren't any great shooters for the Wii yet and because the Wii doesn't have online multiplayer yet (as of 4/4/07). When the Wii has great shooters, online multiplayer operational, SSB Brawl, Man Hunt 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV...you'll just remember today and laugh

I am pretty sure the Wii is not getting GTA IV.
I, personally, love the Wii but I also know that it is not currently geared towards the hardcore gamer (some new releases that are coming out might change that). However, it boils down to this: For the best graphics, best controls and most hardcore games, BUY A PC. The Wii's success is due in part to the fact that it does not sugarcoat it to sell it as "the thing of the future" when the PC it two steps ahead. They just say, "Here, have fun."  And they're doing a damn good job of it.

Mad props gameroo, you tell it like it is. So-called "hardcore gamers" nowadays are just punks that think they are "SuPer 1337" because they can "PwNzOrr" you in Halo. Real gamers know their roots and real gamers know The Big N.

P.S. aransom, your post was immature and ignorant. At least attempt to defend your position (however feeble and unsound it may be).
