It is making a very high pitched continuous sound that I just realized yesterday. I don't think it had been happening before then because I would notice something like that. If you have had this happen, tell me what you did. If you haven't, tell me what you would try.

Thank you very much in advance

When it's on, right?

It might just be the game. If it's with other games, you might just have very acute hearing OR

you need to send your DS to Nintendy to get your speakers fixed.

It is only when it is on.

Also, it does it with all of the games.

I'm planning on calling Nintendo if nobody can help me here.

Mine makes a noise when it has the charger pluged in. It's a very faint sound, but my DSi makes one that was more noticable then when my DS lite is charging. If yours makes a noise when it's on without even charging, it might be an internal proble. You might need to call Ninentod's help line and ask them about it.

Well my brothers DS did that when he let it get WAY to cold, it may also happen if it gets to hot. Have either of those happed to it latly? If so let it return to normal temp before turning it on again.

When I let my first DS lite get too cold, the top screen stopped working.

Yeah, I would suggest calling Nintendo about that...

Yeah, my Lite does the same thing actually. I was wondering if anyone else had the problem or if it was just normal. Still have the extended warranty in effect where I bought it, so I might exchange it for a new one.

It has been at normal temperature for a while so I don't see how that could be the problem. Unfortunately, I think my warranty has run out.

Sounds like an electrical problem to me. Might be a problem with the lite in the DS, try playing around with different brightness settings to see if it helps.

The charger to my Phat does that when it's plugged in. I made a thread about it once, if anyone remembers.

The only one that can know the problem and fix it is Nintendo .

I have never had any problems with my DS (but it's a Phat), so I haven't got a clue of what you should do other than call up Nintendo. I'm pretty sure it's an internal problem, so you probably can't fix it without Nintendo's help. Sorry that this post was pointless.
