What is your how you got your wii story

I know you are thinking WTF in your last blog you said you were getting one after Christmas. But today after I opened my presents my mother asked me to bring her old t.v. into my room I asked her why and she said that she was giving it to my Uncle and she didn't have enough space in her room. I was a little upset this morning because my mom had got me Red Steel, Legend of Zelda:TP, Excite truck, and Rampage for the Wii but I still didn't have a Wii. The worst part is my mother a.k.a. the master of surprise had a secret box that wasn't under the tree. When she told me to open it I saw a box that said Wii on it and I thought she got me a nintendo Wii. But when I pulled it out the box it was empty and she said that it was a display she had got me. And that it would serve as a promise that I would get a Wii soon. I was mad but I didn't tell her. (Now back to me putting the tv in my room) When I saw the reflection of the t.v in my mirrow I saw something white. I turns out she did get me a Wii and she said that she has had it at my Grandma's house all along and that she got it last month. I have played all my games so far except LOZ:TP and have liked them all. Me and my mom started playing Wii sports together she is pretty good surprisingly. I still can, I can't beilieve I got a Wii today.

I posted this in my blog in december and i typed it while i was still very happy to own a wii so dont mind the mispelled words

I got a wii after i had to camp out at 4 in the morning  i almost didnt get one but me my brother and my mom split up i was at target my mom was at circuit city and my brother was at eb games. When the lady came to give out tickets at target she had 12 wiis 5 ps3s and i was 13th in line after i had waited 2 hours. and only 1 person was there for the ps3. so i was out of target so i went to circuit city with my mom they had made a list and she was number 9 and they were geting 12 sho the guys came out and start passing out tickets and my mom got one so every thing good the store opens at 8 and this was seven. and then this dude comes up to us with his kids(im guesing) and they was 1 of the people who didnt get one so my mom tells them that my brother is at eb so we went over there and then the guy seen it dosent open till 10 so he ofers my mom 50 dollars for our ticket from circuit city so of cours we toke it so we could get an extra controller. but we still had to wait till ten and its around 7:45 now and my brother is fourth in line at eb and there only geting 6 so we just talked and played the ds till ten but the guy was a little late opening the door he opend it at 10:06 and belive me if you were up at 4 in the morning every minute counts. but we ended up geting an extra controlled and a nunchuck. so it all worked out in the end. but i didnt get a game i ran out of mony but i plan on buying some vc games soon since i seen you can buy them with a credit card. I will post my friend code in few.

My family had been trying to get it for some time, and I'd kept constant watch on sites like Amazon. We'd originally ordered from Play, but since they took far too many orders for the amount they were getting, no luck there. It was the 22nd of December when my dad, at work, happened to check Amazon...in the less-than-five-minute period at which they had stock. He ordered it on the fastest delivery and it arrived in time for Christmas.

The best thing was, I didn't know this had happened - so I assumed they hadn't found one. Imagine my surprise when I opened it on Christmas Day. ^^

basically wanted one, but couldn't purchase bc I couldn't wait at my jobs line bc ppl, were already there and I was working on the day of release. Fortunately I got it this previous Fridat (used from GameStop) but hey at least I have one, no problems with it, and I love Super Paper Mario, and I have wii play (which is okay) but only for the controller basically, and will prolly get Zelda or Resident Evill 4 Wii Edition next..............The_Graduate

Is this your first post and congrats on getting a wii.

I happened to be awake and functioning this most recent Sunday morning, as in April 22, before Best Buy would be open. Just for kicks, I got on the work computer and looked at their weekly ad online. Lo and behold, what did I see? So I drove as quickly as I could without getting a speeding ticket over to BB and I saw quite a few cars in the parking lot and about 5 BB grunts standing outside. I walked up and got my Wii ticket (#15 of 21). This was about 30 minutes before the store opened. At 9:50a there were no more tickets and about 30 different people in line, who literally ran into the store as soon as the doors opened. It was kinda funny watching all these people run to the service counter and ignore the very obvious signs pointing us in the right direction. The ticket guaranteed one a system until 11a, so there was really no need to get all crazy. Chatted with the guy in front of me, and about 15 minutes later, I had the glorious Wii in my happy little hands, as well as Super Paper Mario.

At last my 5 month wait is finally over. :) And SPM is consuming most of my free time.

I was gone for the weekend that the Wii came out so my father was going to pick me up one, but I didn't have a pre-order so my dad went to Future Shop which had recived 60 Wii's and didn't take any preoders. So when my dad got there he found a very large line of campers who had been waiting at the most 3 days in line. The bad news was there was over 60 people already in line, so my dad went to every other store and found none left. He then went back to Future shop and entered the line hoping that someone would not be able to pay or something (very unlikely) then when the lady who must have been the manager counted and my dad was number 61 .

My dad still stayed eventhough everyone behing him left and the manager kept on saying he wasn't going to get anything.

When they started to passout the flyers that garented you'r wii the manager stoped at my dad and reilized she had misscounted and that he was number 60.

After that they came around asking what people where going to get (with the wii), scince my dad was at the back when he asked about Zelda there was none left

But once he was at the cash register the person asked him If he found everything he was looking for he said he was trying to get a copy of zelda but there was none left but the person checked and guess what they found in storage that had fall down.......ZELDA

 I have to thank my mom for my Wii. (I'm 16 and I still rely on her heavily lol I'm a loser.)

I had been trying frantically at stores all around my area to find a system, from Christmas until February. 

I still couldn't find one and my mom got pissed, so she called up Walmart and gave the manager an earfull, 

because some retard that worked at electronics promised her at christmas she would be able to get one there. 

So after the berating of the poor manager, he put me on a waiting list that "didn't exist." a week later they called up 

telling me that they had my new system. Best day of my life!

i frequent Gamestop at my Mall and i am pretty tight with the manager and i had called for weeks and last week when i was in there he told me that they would get Wii's in the next few days and he would hold one for me, stupid me asked "you sure you can do that" because i didnt want him to get in trouble by the Head Honchos at Gamestop, and a few days later i got my Wii with Super Paper Mario which is super easy BTW

i might rent a game sometime and try out other stuff
