I think it is a severly underrated game ? Probably one of the very few games that gamespot scored wrong, I ususally agree with all their reviews but I absolutely love this game, 40 hours in and I would rate it higher than Fire Emblem 7 and 8, what is your opinion on it ?

I got it for $15 a month ago and started playing it two or three days ago, its a fun game if you like TBS, though I kinda zone out during the cut scenes.

Great game, other than the face-palm inducing story.

I hated the main characters so much I forced myself to finish the game. The story didn't help much too.

not as good as 7 (my personal favorite FE), but still an amazing game. I raged hard when they gave it a 6

I really enjoyed this game. I think I spent over 100 hours on it already and I'm thinking of beating it another time this summer if I have enought time. I can't believe they gave it a 6. It's, at the very least, an 8 if not an 8.5

I wasn't crazy about it. The story was only good during the 3rd part (which to be fair, was the longest part), but still doesn't match up to Path of Radiance's story, I hated using Micaiah's group since many were crazy weak, the graphics were kinda dull to me, and I actually think Path of Radiance looked better, and the game was pretty frustrating at points.

Nowhere near the quality of the original I'd say.

I liked Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon a lot more. I couldn't get into Radiant Dawn that much.

I only played it in part on a rental, but I will say it's a strong continuation of Path of Radiance, which was itself, a very solid strategy role-playing game. It's probably a better idea to play that game first, though. Story has more context, and there are bonuses for having a complete save file from that game in Radiant Dawn.

very underrated, and another clear reason why gamespot isn't trustworthy on reviews, gameplay wise it's great, story is average, and the later parts of the game might throw off some people, but the fact that it got negative reviews was because it didn't have motion control  gamespot is a joke. this game is one of the most underrated games this generation.

It was alright. It was just more of the same. A continuation of path of radiance. the story was n't that great but the gameplay still held up. Motion controls are not needed for this game. It was supposed to be a GC game but like super Paper Mario got pushed over to wii. I think it got bad reviews because it was just GC game that was on Wii. This was back in 07 when everyone wanted the wii to be primarily motion based. I was like this as well back then but still enjoyed the game. Nowadays people don't care how much motion control is used in games. A lot of the best games on Wii have you holding the controller sideways like a traditional controller. This does put a damper on how motion control is the future. What can you really do? The games are still fun.

on its own merit, its a solid game with some of the best gameplay in the srpg genre at its core (and it earns bonus points for revealing that king ashnard ****ed a dragon. hes not mad. hes just horny!) . however, its not a very good sequel at all, especially for a game that made the console generation leap. there were very few gameplay improvements and they completely ignored the console they made their game on by taking advantage of none of its strengths.

I think Radiant Dawn kicks @$$. It's the sole reason I got a Wii in the first place because I knew it wouldn't have any stupid Wiimote controls. It's one of the very few games for the Wii that is meant for actual gamers. Radiant Dawn can't be beaten in a day, unlike a bunch of other Wii games. Yeah, it can be very difficult at first but it gets easier once you learn the chapter layouts and the best units to use. I'd love to see another Fire Emblem game for the Wii.

Radiant Dawn was my first Fire Emblem game I have ever played and I must say I really enjoyed it, I am thinking about going at it a second time.

I couldn't get into it, but admittedly, that's because it just isn't really my type of game. I also started on the medium difficulty level, which was a bad idea for my first ever Fire Emblem game. The potential was there for me, but I couldn't let myself go on if any of my characters died, so playing it was just too stressful and I never got very far. Maybe someday when I have nothing else to play, I'll go back to it and start on Easy. It seems like a quality game once you get into it.

Really good game with some great battles and not nearly as hard as advertised. The story really DID suck though.

I think the game's quality is only matched by its difficulty! The music is excellent too - I emailed the composer a while back to tell him as well. Good game. One thing I don't like is when the level suddenly sends in more enemies late in the battle. This seems unfair and destroys my morale completely because I've usually used up items, weapons, etc.

Really? I did not find it hard at all....easily kept all characters alive (aside for the rare cheap death, then reset) But I have also played every FE released in the US -my fav. series On topic: I actually enjoyed the game and the continuation from the last game No complaints

It's one of my favorite games ever. I personally found the story much more interesting then PoR, but it requires you play PoR to be that intersting. I don't really think of them as seperate games, it's one big story. And they create one of the best stories in video games in my opinion.

I don't see why people complain so much about graphics though, i think PoR looked far worse for it's time, people are so blocky It probably could have been done on N64, in RD they look GCNish, but Wii isn't as big an improvement from GCN as GCN was from N64. but oh well, Both games are amazing. I have never seen a such an amazing sequal to a story.

I agree with this...just a part 1 and 2 situation

Personally, I like the sprites better (GBA) But the graphics are not that big of a concern to me with games like this...as long as they are least GBA level

Is the games story a sequel to another? Or if I play this one first will I understand everything. Probably won't get it anyway as I am not a fan of SRPG's.

NaveedLife

It's a sequal to Fire Emblem Path of Radiance for gamecube. I highly recomend playing that first, it makes a lot of plot points more interesting. But I think it summarises everything that's required to know, I just don't think it's as interesting having things summarised like that when there are so many connections, i dunno, it just seems like you'll still get the feeling your missing an important part of the story, even if you do know the jist of it. At least i think so.

I couldn't get in to it. Long and annoying cut scenes followed by bad gameplay with bad graphics. I really didn't like how the battles were done either (I've never seen a game where the battles take place in a different world from the one you were in, and all the animations and scenery were the same). The battle system really took me out of the game.
