I can only think of a few off the top of my head (Dragonball origins, the two zelda ds games, and star fox command to a extent). What do you guys think of games like that? I'm not a really a big fan of them because I'm use to controlling a character with a d pad or a stick..

I'm with you. It isn't as fun to play with just a stylus. Not to mention hands get in the way of the screens, the screen gets all scratched, and attacks get mixed up a lot in the games I have played at least. The only strongly stylus driven game that I like is The World Ends With You.

Also, make this into a poll?

I think it can get frustrating and awkward to use. I'm used to using a dpad or stick as well so it makes it hard to use.

Depends on the type of game. Something like Zelda or Star Fox? Heck no, I expect to use the D-Pad and buttons. If it were something more akin to Crayon Physics Deluxe or World of Goo, though, then I wouldn't have it any other way (save for using the D-Pad to pan the view in the latter). Basically, anything that involves drawing or pin-point precision calls for a stylus (or an active digitizer pen, but you're not going to find something like that on anything the size of a DS).

Both Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass were ruined by the stylus only controls. Stylus only = bad game 99% of the time.

Depends on the game. Scribblenauts was ruined because of the touchpad only controls.

RTS, on the other way are aways better on touchpad, and some Puzzle games, like Piccross, or the old point'n'click adventure games, like Broken sword are WAY better on stylus.

Also, Elite Beat Agents.

Edited to correct misspelling.

Are you kidding me?!? Both DS Zelda games use the stylus incredibly well (especially Spirit Tracks). You can do things in those games that you can't in any other Zelda game. I love stylus-only games, given that the stylus controls are implemented well. Kirby Canvas Curse is a great stylus-only game. So are Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, Meteos, and the Professor Layton games.

It does get irritating buying a new screen protector every month because I have the urge to play Pokemon Ranger, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, TWEWY, Phantom Hourglass, and trying to get the highest scores possible in Swalot Plop and Pokeathlon. :?

Wouldn't it be easier if the touch screen was just like the iPhone, where you don't need a stylus...?

If the 3DS screen is big enough, maybe using a stylus can be optional...? :?

I like them, I actually prefer developers to stick to either a stylus game or a 'traditional' game. I hate using the buttons then having to get the stylus out for precise movements. Overall I prefer buttons but stylus only game can work, (like Zelda).

Go Stylus! Dpad and buttons should be on their way out, they are old ways of controlling games.

I don't buy them. I actually don't really like the touch aspect of the DS that much and tend to buy games where stylus usage is at a bare minimum.

I found that both games were very awkward and uncomfortable to play and that the stylus hindered gameplay more than it advanced it. If either game allowed for d-pad control, I probably would have loved them.

TOUCHMASTER series obviously rock as stylus-only games.

I think they're great. It's fun to play with only one hand every now and again.

Well I like aiming on the shooting games but those don't count as stylus only games so....yeah I actually enjoy a lot of the stylus games but then their are some games that cannot be played using the stylus...like bang-ai-oh spirits!
