What makes the Wii great for you?

What makes the Wii a great system to you?

For me, I like the games: The Legend of Zelda: The Twillight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Fire Emblem: Raidiant Dawn,

Mario Kart Wii, Battalion Wars 2, and some other games.

Also, I like the interactive controls of the Wii.

How about you guys?

Its the games.

Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight princess are both among my favorite games of all time. I also played RE4 for the first time on the wii- another fav. SSBB and Metriod Corruption were outstanding.

Also the VC has been great for me b/c I missed the entire Super Nintendo generation, so thats alot of classics I got to catch up on.

it's different.

BACKWARD compatability, i have some cube games.

last gen was getting same and stale.

i may sound sad, but i wanted the fun that i got, when i started gaming back in the 80's and nintendo has done it, Thank you

there are several things:

1 has to be the controller. the controls and the motions are pretty awesome, games like wii sports and stuff like that are so much more fun when you can actually perform the motion.

2 the games. i like being able to actually point where i want to shoot in certain games, or be able to dice tomatoes in cooking games, as well as in steer my character in mario kart.

3. the price. i was close to buying a 360, but the price of the system and the games was way too much. the fact that the wii itself was like $200 cheaper was good enough. also the fact that certain games are cheaper than the $49.99 price is good too.

i just sometimes wish some better games came out more frequently for the wii. sometimes i feel like im waiting 3 weeks or so for a good game to come. thankfully the next month or 2 im set with madden, mario super sluggers, and lego batman coming out.

The controlls, especially in Metroid prime 3

the unusal and bit out there games like lost winds, NMH and mad world. games that devs wouldnt even dare trying on other platforms for various reasons.

im quite enjoying FF my life as a king. it turns the whole RPG thing on its head. i would love sqaure to make a more fleshed out version and release it in shops.....its a fantastic concept imho.

my dark horse of the year is deadly creatures.

i also love that ninty took a different route this gen. we already have enough high powered platforms....nice to see a bit of variety.

Why Wii owns:

• Smash Bros
• Mario Kart
• Mario Galaxy
• The least expensive
• the motion controls are cool

The biggest reason is THE GAMES.The fact that the wii has games like legend of zelda super smash bros resident evil metroid and many others that the other brands can't get a hold of.

Plus its user friendly and is not complicated to get used to. Also it is family orinated yet older children can still play =]

well they both have better games better controllers better online better new arcade games for sale online better downloads better memory storage and better interfaces.the wii has one advatge mario, zelda, metriod thats it

If you've played like 2 weeks you haven't really tried any of the games, I've been playing Mario Kart for 3 weeks now and still don't feel as if I've achieved the full experience.

*1, Just an opinion, and I'm sorry for the PS3 but I wouldn't consider MGS4 'games'

*2, Controllers that were stemmed from ideas that were made by Nintendo, A control scheme that didn't even try to mask the buttons (A, B, X, Y) and another that had to add motion controls right before launch for the 'me too! me too!!' effect, better than the completely fresh Wiimote? I don't think so.

*3, Paying for online doesn't constitute better, I haven't much experience with the other console so I won't go there.

*4, Better rehashes, that take forever to come out rather than every Monday

*5, Downloads that you're usually paying for, which most of which aren't related to gaming what-so-ever.

*6, They're working on it

*7, A better interface that means having to completely re-do theirs to copy the competition, over, and over again? It seems like the Nintendo people are pretty happy with the channel idea, as am I.

*8, Plus motion sensing, true to life shooting capabilities with the pointer, a broader audience, more willing third party devs by the day, a larger creative scale, and gobs and gobs of money to make this, and the next system much much better.

The legendary games on it. Granted, the selection of games is still a bit small, but Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl are easily among my favourite games of all time. I'd also mention Zelda: Twilight Princess, which might just be my favourite Zelda yet, but I play the GC version.

I'm still waiting for new installments of some of my favourite franchises, such as Star Fox and F-Zero. Apart from that, I like the innovative control system, the low price of both the console and the first party games,

What else makes it great is that my friends who have a console, mostly have the Wii, so that makes the online experience in games such as MKW and Brawl a whole lot more enjoyable.

The Controls... Innovation is more than simply better graphics!

Its playing games in new ways. like swinging a power serve in WiiTennis
