eh a 7 or a 7.5 but itll still be the second best game on the system. Its just Gamespot is so brutal on ratings, like EA sake. 7.5 but it is an amazing game. im sure gamespot will whine about something pointless and stupid to give it a 7 or at the highest an 8guyguyguy1234

Agreed. I'll be surprised if Super Mario Galaxy rates as high as Super Mario Sunshine did (8.0) . They're expecting something better than Super Mario 64 over at Gamespot.

I'd say an 8.5 because even though Nintendo innovates it doesn't innovate enough, according to Gamespot.

I don't expect Gamespot's review to be fair since TP's review. I thought WW was over-rated but TP is a cinematic masterpiece. Period.

What do you think about Rainbow Six Vegas? Truly groundbreaking stuff huh? There's some serious innovation there...and what about Halo 3? You heard me! Halo 3...the most over-hyped, over-rated game ever. I think it's absurd that so many people buy that game. I'm sorry to tell you this but Halo is an average game folks.

People like to mention LittleBigPlanet often. Let me tell you something. That game is technical masterpiece. The devs sure had a lot of work on their hands. But that's it. It's a technical achievement. Nothing more. There's no real innovation unlike SMG. Gamespot is gonna say it's game of the year or something but it's just another HD achievement.

They're gonna say it's the best looking Wii game but it's not HD and that the controls don't work quite as well as they would expect and that Nintendo is just putting out another sequel which is really funny because I never read that of a MS/Sony game.

I'm sure some parts of those games are allright but they're not the best, not even close. The multiplayer is probably fun but take a look at Half Life...it's 100 times better. And so is the multiplayer component. The thing is, these games don't stand out from the crowd. They're just another game...there's nothing truly remarkable. I'm sure they have high production values and all but that alone is not enough.

Anyway, enough about that. Back to SMG. I don't know how long the game is but I'm guessing big enough: 10/15 hours. And there's a small multiplayer component which is really an extra. It looks good and runs quite smoothly. I hope the levels are as rich and coloured as the ones we've seen so far because those are jaw-dropping. The wii-mote adds several gameplay innovations which really make it fresh. They don't seem too gimmicky. It's gonna be a top tier game, no doubt about it.

I never understood why Super Mario 64 didn't get a 10 and I probably won't understand it this time either.

I think they'llpull a Warioware on us and give it like a 9.5 or something super high. Difference is that it'll deserve the score unlike Warioware, I don't understand how they can call something like Warioware revolutionary when its the same as the DS version but with a different sort of motion, yet there's been some awesome games that've gotten low ratings.bobbetybob

True talk...WarioWare was garbage

The thing that really, really got me mad about the WarioWare review was the timing. It came out about a month or so after Zelda. To see that game, instead of Zelda atop the "Highest rated" Wii games really sucked.

I would question 9.5 from this site though. One could venture to say that it'll be impossible.

Anyone saying undre 8 is nuts the game at the very least will get a 8.5 and that is if they are nit picking everything and complaining about no online. I still think it will get a 9.0 and if it is just about perfect it will get a 9.5.
