Get whatever Pokemon you feel is a good addition to your team. Making your team unique and standout is the whole point of catching and raising them.siLVURcrossAgreed. Especially after i beat some guy with two rarely seen pokemon in online matches... primeape and kingdra, hehehe. ;) Unfortunately i got beaten afterwards... damm.

Kingdra I can understand why someone would use it. A Water/Dragon type with a single weakness of Dragon with decent stats to boot. It's the closest to a Palkia ;)
Charizard, Raichu, Snorlax, Kadabra.
If you don't have the ability to get an Alakazam, I would go back and get a Hypno. He's sturdier and has better overall stats.
Same deal with a fighting type, if you can't get a Machamp, Primeape is surprisingly useful in FR/LG, but that has more to do with how fighting types have been getting better with every new game. (Not a bad thing considering they were worthless in the original.)
You absolutely need a water type. No argument lol. I would recommend, Poliwrath, Tentacruel, Slowbro, Gyarados, or Lapras. Pick the one that suits your party the best. Slowbro is an absolute tank and Gyarados is a beast.
