I'm getting about 2000 or 3000 wiipoints (I think, maybe more.) for my 16th birthday, and I'm not sure what to buy with them. I don't have any controller except for the wiimote/nunchuck, and my mom said I'm not allowed to get internet channel, since I'm almost always on the computer. So.. ja. Halp?

First of all, Welcome to Gamespot!

Second, there is a sticky for gaming recommendations, so remember that next time :P

Third, I think you should get World of Goo, Megaman 9, and Bomberman Blast. They are my favorites.

Don't buy any N64 or SNES games - you can't play them without other controllers. All NES and Turbografx-16 games will work, and SOME Genesis games will, but consult the buyer's manual first. Anything else you should check.

That said...personally I would go after some of your favorite classic NES games, since they will offer you a lot of playtime and replay value, and nostalgia.

I would get World of goo, that's the one you want. Erm... i would say get some snes's games for example super mario world but as it has been said, you may need to buy the classic controller or gamecube controller (Classic Controller would be your best bet) which does cost money that could be used for some think to uses :s
