I dont want a guitar hero 4 and hope my favorite bands like The Beatles and Pink Floyd stay clear of anything of the sort. As for people suggesting Stairway to Heaven, fat chance that will happen Zeppelin knows whats up and keeps their songs away from crap like this.studwig

Eagle Fly Free - Helloween
Time is Running out - Muse
Stupid MF - Mindless Self Indulgence (it will never happen. to many curses)
Voodoo Child - Hendrix

guitar hero is first of all one of the most fun games I've had the pleasure of playing and second of all gets kids more into good rock songs rather than Kanye West or some crap like that. Many people picked up guitar because they liked this game so much

The first one was fun for like a month and it ruins alot of good songs. It hurts to hear some of those songs on the radio now. The new ones completely lack originality, new songs isn't enough to make me spend 50 more dollars.

Yeah and imigrant song was in School of Rock and like 3 or 4 songs were in Almost Famous. But did you know Jack Black had to literally beg Robert Plant to let them use it. They also denied Mike Myers the right to play Stairway To heaven on the guitar in Wayne's World. They also sued a bar for playin Whole Lotta Love without consulting them. A man did almost 2 years for bootlegging their songs, Jimmy Page went out of his way to testify against him, He stated that they sounded horrible anyways. Anyways I bet you will never see a zeppelin song anywhere near a guitar hero game and Energizer probably paid out the butt for that song.

Energizer probably paid out the butt for that song. What makes you so sure that Activision won't do it either? They have a little money. And when I say "little" I mean billions.

True, Activision has dough but the idea is where Zeppelin would say piss off. HAve you heard how guitar hero butchers some songs like Pride and Joy by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Trust me Jimmy Page is one perfectionate son of a gun. I read in a book called Stairway To Heaven by their road manager Richard Cole that they had some ridiculous amount of money in like over 100 million dollars offered to them if they broadcast their concert, I think it was like a christmas show or New Years or somethin, over the entire world. It was supposed to be the most televised event ever. They declined over fear of poor quality. Activision won't cough up Zeppelin standards of cash and Zeppelin wouldn't accept anways.

Oh, I wasn't saying you were wrong, I'm well aware of Zeppelin's crazy antics (of course, I say "crazy" light-heartedly. It takes some real integrity to say "no" to a pile of free money). I'm just saying that Activision has the moolah to sway just about anybody.
And if they have the money, and are willing to pay Zeppelin for the rights, I'm sure that Zeppelin would say something along the lines of "make it perfect, or **** off!".
Now were on the same page, its just that the only way In my opinion that it would have to be perfect. PAge and Plant would be breathing down their necks through the whole process and there is no way it would ever be one of the as made famous by songs. It would definately have to be their recording. I just don't see them wastimg time on something like that especially with the tour rumors and what not thats been goin on with them. Plant also has tours he's doin and probably a new album in the making. I just can't possible think there is a chance.

Well, all I know is that Activision is probably dying to get some of their songs in the game, and I can bet that they would be willing to do almost anything to get it to happen.
I mean, look at the top requests for songs by almost anybody who is a fan of the games. Who's on that list? Activision sure knows.
