^^ I was suprised by Diddy Kong. He's quick and his attacks are strong. What other characters did you end up liking that you though you were going to hate?
He seemed so wimpy before I got him. Now I think he's to easy, I havn't lost with him yet. Though I don't play against proffesionals or online.

His up-smash is the strongest in the game.It seems like Link seems to be a little weaker in Brawl than he was in Melee. I thought for sure I'd use him the most, but I switched to Pit.
i was surpr9sed by 0 suit samus she rreally fast and my favorite charcter i can do a 57 hit combo with her with out the person ever touching the ground yah i know awesome
lucas and ganandorf i never liked ness but they tweaked lucas enough that i enjoy his style and with ganondorf he was always too slow but he seems faster lolz or maybe im just better now hahaha
lucas. i hated ness in the first, a couple days before brawl was released i tried him and liked a bit. a couple months ago i found out lucas is my second best character. he's awesome
I thought Toon Link was gonna be kinda wimpy but I tested it out and he's a little stronger than the original Link. I played my brother who is a total veteran of this series and managed to beat him while he was using Fox just because of the strength difference. But then he changed to Donkey Kong and totally destroyed me lol. Also i was surprised at how well some people could use Snake online. I mean, I love the guy but he doesn't seem right for the game.
Dedede and Ike. I thought them being slow would not be good for me (wasn't a big fan of the heavy characters in Melee). In the end, I can do very well with them! Bowser and Ganondorf also were much better than I thought they would be.
And meta-Knight surprised me, too. I didn't think he would be that a great a character, but well, I was wrong. :P
Wolf is another character I use often, but I wish his final smash involved team members of star wolf flying in and shooting up the arenas with their ships. He's never used a landmaster in any starfox game.
Olimar. I thought he was a lame addition at first, but after messing around with him in Training Mode, I thought he was fun to use. And he's really effective against Lv. 9 CPUs (The Cheap Pikmin Throw Spam Trick)
