What to do about batteries?

Should i buy a 4 pack of rechargeables which is about $10 or buy a pack of 20 AA for about $10?

Or the $30 charge station?  That maybe the best?  Also i going for cheapest in long/short run.   So if the charge station kicks major butt then yeah i would go with that... but if it degrades pretty fast i would perfer the other two options

You buy the rechargeable batteries.

No one in their right mind will suggest "regular" batteries, they make zero sense, to the point it's laughable.

Do NOT buy a charge station, a 4 pack of 2500 AA's and a charger (28 dollars) will last you longer then the charge station per charge and also for the life of the battery.

See each battery only has a certain number of charges and each time you charge it no matter where the power level is in the battery it counts as one charge. Typically batteries like that have around 1000 charges, the problem comes in that each time you set that Wiimote down on the cradle it uses up one charge. Now that's great but if you've been using it for maybe an hour and you still have 85% power left the battery doesn't know that and "poof" one charge is gone. Think about how many times that's going to happen.

The entire intent of the charging station is to hold the Wiimote there to charge, so when you use the base to HOLD the Wiimote it's also costing you a charge. Add in the fact that the battery itself doesn't seem to last as long for people who actually buy any of the stations and then how much it costs to get another battery for the charge stations when it dies and it's just not a good value.

Yeah it sucks. Also he's referring to energizer rechargeables. I have them and they work magnificently.

The real need for rechargeable batteries is to get ones that have an energy rating of 2500 or higher. The higher that number is the longer the battery lasts between charges

Besides the 9 dollar one doesn't even say what the energy rating is. It could be 17 for all we know. 

kk awesome info i will get some decent rechargeables 2500 rating... charger doesnt matter does it? I have older one but it should still work fine? Keypo

If it's the same brand of battery it should but don't quote me on that.
