At first I was amazed, then I was like, I'm never going to catch them all, then I was like I have to build my team to take on the Gym Leader Challenge at PLU, then I was like nevermind.
I think this thread will be locked.
mine was ahhhh, another pokemon adventure for me to waste 100 hours on. seriously, pokemon is almost evilly addictive.crunchUKWhat u said, evilly addictive.
Technically, I wasn'tvery impressed.Considering the game still uses the simple graphics from previous games in the series I didn't expect so many little graphical quirks and glitches.
As far as gameplay goes, it was fun as any Pokemon game usually is. I beat it in about 40 hours. Right now I'm waiting to get myself an Action Replay in order to stay competitive online though. :P
What crappy looking graphics. Stupid Game Freak, the DS has real 3D capabilities.
That was my first impression. I sold the game today, having barely finished the main story. I will never buy another Pokemon game again unless Game Freak evolves like the damn monsters they make.
Initially I liked the new tweaks like how you can read signs without pressing a button. Now I utterly hate the game and it's modest improvements over it's predecessors. I don't mean the graphics so much (hough ruby/sapphire looked on par with most GBA games whereas D/Pdon't look par for mst DS games). The game interface is awful, battles are unnecessarily slow and the potential streamlining that the DS's features could've offered are near-to or on-existant. Read my log for more ranting.
There is a deep game under the bueracracy of stock battle phrases, I just can't be bothered to find it.
first impression (the first screens of the game that i saw): piece of garbage. why is the graphical update so minimal? it's barely better than a gba game.
but once the time passed and more info on the game was given, i thought it was pretty good and when it came out i did get it and i'm pretty satisfied with it.
WhenI was a wee Spektre. I got Pokemon Yellow and a Pikachu gameplay, needless to say,I was a dumb child and had no idea what I was doing. Same thing when I got Silver, yet somehow I ended up with a godly team. When I got Sapphire and stopped being stupid...I don't know, the magic felt lost I suppose. And that brings us to Pearl. At first I thought "Nothing is different. Why bother" but I jst kept on playing and playing, eventually reaching from the 1st Gym to the 6th in one day >_>. I felt like a kid playing that again.
