I don't think they should offer SD card VC support because that'll just lead to all sorts of piracy. Imagine being able to download VC games from the internet, saving them to your SD card and playing them on the Wii. I would like to see folder support though. If I had a bunch of VC games, I'd like to be able to organize them according to how I see fit, be it according to system or according to how much I like the game.PikaPichu

Well to counter that maybe Nintendo could sign each downloaded game with a Wii System Number and allow for games to only be played for a 24 hour period once it reaches another Wii. That way people who bought the games on their Wii would be able to buy even more without having to delete to free up space. Also I think the Wii really needs to cache information into the on board memory. According to IGN and probably alot of Wii owners out there, the more channels you have the longer it takes to load the up the main menu. Also this could allow for streaming of news headlines and weather instead of just showing a little picture.Â
That's all for now...

I think if Nintendo does allow games to be run off the SD cards, it'll only be a matter of time before someone figures out how Nintendo's digitally signing those games. If it has to do with some sort of key generated by the Wii, someone will probably figure a way to access the needed information from the Wii itself and apply it to the VC game.
One way would be to create a program that runs on the PC to make the Wii think it's connecting to the Wii Shop when it's actually connecting to your own PC on the same network. Once connected it could send and receive all sorts of needed information. Just my guess.

Seems like too much hastle to get a game free illegaly, when ROMs are all over the internet.
I'd like to be able to turn off the blue aura around the disc slot. Its something small, but nice to have.kidfrmvotekYou can...just click the wii option, find 'slot illumination', then choose 'off'... i like the eerie blueness...
erm... i heard from AOTS that the next update that is scedualed is to be the Online Multiplayer O.o
Â
Is that good enough for you xp

I hope so, i've been wanting that for awhile!Â
- Addition to Wii Shop Channel for downloading original games (like XBL Arcade).
- A Friends Channel that allows you to browse your friends list, see who is online, chat, and see what games they're playing.

Heard the first one before but good none-the-less. But the second idea is great. I can't see why Nintendo can't let people see what their friends are doing. Are they afraid someone will see that their friend is playing an M rated game? Honestly, Nintendo has to loosen up. The friend codes are going a bit too far. Why is the rest of the console so revolutionary but the online components so... counter-intuitive?
well we need channel updates so we can have new stuff on the channels. like demo channels, or a channel that downloads movies or music. but updates like with the mii channel like more human like looks would be cool i guessÂ
Well if I'm not mistaken channels are updates basically.
However if you mean features, frankly I want a new channel. I love updates desguised as channels. However I think some channels can use some updates...
- Mii channel with new looks and more designs.
- Photo channel to support more videos (basically the Wii itself) and more picture types. Also stop compressing my images please.
- A music channel. I know the Photo Channel does this, but I want a channel that allows me to connect USB devices and be seperate from the Photo channel. The support can also be used for the Photo Channel to allow me to connect any USB device with music on them and stream them from the player as I like.
+ Aside from that a seperate channel could use the Wii touch of making music "fun" as well. Think of crazy screen savers that react to the Wii remote and even nunchuk combo and friends can come in and take a Wii Remote and manipulate the onscreen actions or something. It's just perfect for music and the Wii remote to use some funciton... plus it means devs can use this to allow us to play our own music other than an SD card.
- Stop having the Wii restart whenever I choose "Wii Menu." Even on the "Wii Menu" or in the "Wii System Settings" menu. Seriously, this becomes a problem, and the more channels you download the more longer you Wii takes to boot up. If you don't know what I mean, whenever you go back to the Wii Menu, your Wii totally restarts as if it's rebooting from sleep mode. It's not helpful that it takes 5 seconds to start up, it shouldn't be that way, it also has to re-read what disc is left inside the system. Like the 360, their shouldn't be a reboot. It should just be able to take me to my Wii Menu when I want to, meaning that my system shouldn't be rebooting every channel and re-read the disc I have inside my system..
