Local multiplayer. That's basically the one thing consoles do better than PCs, and it ought to be focused on.
1. Take the graphics to the next level. They were some of the best graphics on Wii, and some things were just as high definition as PS360 (particularly the ASE which was so nice it looked like it belonged in a game like Killzone 2 or another one of the best graphical games for PS3, or the enemy designs, which also looked like they were from Halo 3 or something). WIth further attention to some minor details and better art direction, they could actually make the game look as good as a 360 game. All the foreground stuff, Mr. Ford, the enemies (Drudge and human), most weapons, and the ASE all looked just like they were from a 360 or PS3 game, they just didn't put enough effort into the backgrounds.
2. Take the fight to the Drudge homeworld. D.C. was a nice idea, but if they try to milk it (or some other place in the US, like New York) I might have to pass.
3. A longer campaign mode, with a better story. I haven't finished the game, since the single player became insignificant when I started the online multiplayer, and the whole game became insignificant once I got Little King's Story, but the story seems to just be a typical conspiracy theory, "you can't trust anyone" story, which I assume has some twist about the government being involved in the attack. Unless there's something big to fix it it's just a subpar plot.
4. Expand multiplayer. Making a 12 player online exclusive FPS for Wii was a new thing, but they still need to take another step and make it 20+. I know that's a big jump, but they can do it. Also add many many many more maps (and with more players in the game, make them bigger), make characters more customizable, and perhaps most importantly, make match customization more intricate. In TCon you chose the weapon set you wanted, now let us choose the specific weapons we start with and the ones we can pick up.
5. Overall, they need to not make the game go by the standards of "for the Wii." It may fall short in the FPS genre, but the Wii is just as good as any other console, and for FPSes it really should be the best one of them all, since the controls are just natural for a shooting game. Metroid Prime 3 proved that, with some of the best controls ever seen. HVS needs to try to make a game that will not leave critics snootily saying "Ya it's good... for the Wii." I think it was up to par with other FPSes on other platforms, but they can't rely so much on controls next time. They need to go by the standards of making a good FPS for Wii that simply comes up against PS360 FPSes, they need to try to make a game that is "the definitive FPS" and not just "the definitive Wii FPS." The days of classifying something as being for the Wii need to be gone, they need to make a game as good in every field as top titles like Halo or Bioshock, then add the masterful controls in to blow them all out of the water.
For now I'm hoping they make TCon 2, but I have my eyes set on Red Steel 2 to satisfy my FPS needs, and for a more realistic looking one The Grinder is the next big thing. It looks like they read my mind in advance about The Conduit (before it even came out somehow) and started working on implementing it. The story doesn't seem to be all that strong, but so little is known about it other than it involves monsters, I can't pass real judgment.
The Conduit (and many other games) need an open world. Games shouldn't force a path on you. Also, more players in multiplayer mode with less lag, and perhaps allow you to choose a class so people can gravitate towards what they are better at (stealth, one on one, etc.).never played the game but i want to but what if there was a second one what would you want improved about it

You expect way too much from the Conduit. You want graphics the Wii can't handle andyou wantonline that the Wii probably can't handle. Seriously, they did a great job with the graphics (technically at least) and you can't just expect them to make a game a console can't handle.

True, I'd actually like to see where a traditional FPS infused with a sandbox game like GTA could go. Obviously in a much more linear manner, but I mean a huge world with varied areas, you have to battle your way through the hordes of aliens (if it were TCon applied to this) to reach different areas and achieve objectives. Basically all the levels need to be less corridor infested and they all need to be connected, rather than once you finish a mission being immediately transported to the next level by some bizarre magic. You need to be able to roam entire cities instead of just a small building. If that is what you're thinking, i like where you're going with this.never played the game but i want to but what if there was a second one what would you want improved about it

No the Wii can handle the online if it is done properly. It's all a matter of them working on the servers. The graphics can be easily handled, they proved that with things like the ASE and enemy designs. All they needed was better art direction which could be very easily fixed. Come on, I mean basically it's just like seeing an ugly background in a CG movie and changing it. It doesn't need to be interactive, it doesn't need to be a destructible environment, just put a better background and make some things a little less blocky. In fact, The Grinder looks even better than what I'm asking for out of The Conduit 2. They make the backgrounds fantastic and the things I said already looked great like enemies look just as good and the guns look even better. Plus it's still in pre-alpha. I'm not EXPECTING anything out of TCon 2, I'm saying if I had the choice and anything could be done, that's what I would want. Even so, it looks like what I want can be achieved. Just make The Grinder and then add 16 player online (which they CAN do, as they were even planning to), and I would be 100% satisfied.AND THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING TO CHANGE ABOUT THE GRAPHICS! THANK YOU!The one thing that makes me not want to play it is the bland enviroment.

^^^This. Also, I think they should add some more replay value for the single-player campaign. I know the multiplayer is what the replay value is supposed to lie in, but I think if they make the single-player campaign more epic and fun, then people will naturally want to replay the campaign and find all the achievements. I think they should also make the achievments better, too. I know there are achievments in The Conduit, but they are so BORING I never wanted to go get them. If they make the achievements more interesting people will actually WANT to play the single-player campaign again.
NEVER going to happen though, even IF they find a publisher for the second one (because I doubt Sega's touching them again after the poor sales), I doubt it will get much better
It needs to be impressive in other ways than just a technical level. Also, they need to make it FUN, they can't copy and paste areas over and over again. As for the controls, I hear many people were never able to fine-tune them to exactly what they wanted, it would always be off by a little. Why don't they just use the Metroid Prime 3 advanced scheme? I have yet to hear any complaints about those controls.
Well, as it stads it is a great game. But of course in a sequel I would like some of the natural improvements. A few specific things would be a longer campaign and definitely some co-op. It's the only wayshooters should be played anymore in my opinion lol. And the online is most certainly robust and fun, but some more customization options on top of what isthere now would be nice. Also I would love to eliminate the voting syste. It works enough to get the job done but I feel it hinders some of the experience.
Either way I feel a sequel will be coming and I can't wait!
Better online. None of that voting stuff, and have it so you can speak to anyone, instead of just friends. Also, no friend codes. Then it would be as good as Halo (I personally hate Halo, but the online system is great).
