I saw the wiiu and can't make up my mind about? What do you think about? Does the contoler look like it would handle well? Do you think it will have the game titles to back it up. Tell me you you think of the system?

At first I thought the controller was a good idea but awkward, and while I havent had a go myself, every review going says that it is very comfortable to use. I think the Wii was a wake up call for Nintendo, it told them there are gamers out there who want innovation but they need the game libary to keep them interested.
The noise coming from Nintendo is very reassuring that they have realised their mistakes with the Wii. What I really have liked is from what I have seen the use of the controller is far from 'gimicky' in the games. I think it is a good start for the Wii, having games like Black Ops 2, ZombiU, and Assassins Creed 3 is a great way to signal to developers that there is a market for quality hardcore games on the system if they sell well.
I think even Nintendo Land looks really good, Wii Sports always looked gimmicky from the outset but was fun, Nintendo actually looks like a good polished experience.
I would hope Nintendo has some annoucnement up it's sleeve to combat the arrival of the other next gen consoles come this time next year, I have a feeling it will be Mario Kart or Smash Brothers.
Right now I just don't see the point if you're a core gamer. Other than Zelda and whatever the new Mario will be, any major release will be on the 360 or PS3 you already own. I keep trying to find a reason to get it at launch (even thinking of trading in my PS3 towards it), but right now, I can't find one. I think it's a big mistake not launching the U with a new Galaxy or the new Zelda. The only blockbuster launch title on the U is Black Ops II and nobody is buying one for that game.

The core Nintendo gamer is a mixture of children and casuals.
From either of those viewpoints the Wii U does exactly what they want it to do.
The software that Nintendo is launching with is to capture those demographics, they'll worry about the niche markets later on.
The only thing that matters is the Mario Bros Wii U and Wii Fit U, those cater to the children/casual and then the casual all by itself.

Right, which goes with what I said. If you're a core or regular gamer, I can't find a point in buying a U at launch, or maybe ever, with Zelda and whatever the new mario will be called being pretty much the only major blockbuster releases exclusive to the console.
On the other hand look at the totals of Wii Fit on the Wii, that's their core and their core comes through in a big way making that the most popular franchise on the Wii.
For the niche markets like Zelda or Metroid or Mario they'll be there, they're always going to be there. The main thing is this do you get a Wii U at launch and have it for when those titles come around or do you track one down later on?
For anyone who likes the smaller titles like 3D Mario and Zelda they're going to be on the hardware, it's inevitable. The only question is when and will you be able to get the hardware by then.

Well, they got a new Super Mario Bros. The Wii didn't even have that.Right now I just don't see the point if you're a core gamer. Some of the posts in this thread have me confused. When did Mario become a casual game? Sure anyone can learn to play it, but it takes a lot to unlock all of the secrets. Does the fact that it doesn't have large amounts of violence make it for kids? Really, I don't get this logic.

2D Mario is aimed at casuals who played the old NES and SNES Mario games, are grown up, and now want to get some nostalgia.
The 3D Mario games are built for the smaller niche audience on the Wii/Wii U
Well, they got a new Super Mario Bros. The Wii didn't even have that. No disrespect to people looking forward to that game, but an old school sidescroller mario doesn't do it for me anymore. I am buying the system day one , its already preordered and the line up is awsome i cant wait to play 007 legends on this thing
From having played the system and various games I can sum my thoughts up in one sentence: Come at me bro.

Since around Super Mario 3D Land when Mario acted like a koopa and just flopped over on his back. I'm hoping New Super Mario Bros. U will at least have a modicum of difficulty, because I can't take three extremely easy Mario games in a row. That is just wrong. Some of the posts in this thread have me confused. Hmm its not really Nnintendo thats for casuals. Its companies like THQ that are for casuals and kids*I know some of their games aren't kids games* as well other compamies pandering to the family friendly audience

It was either 9-2 or 9-3 or 9-4, whatever one had all the ice blocks. That one took me forever. So you do think that NSMBW had some difficulty? Where? Point to it:

super mario world was just as easy... i had no trouble at all beating that game....but mario 1,2,3 on NES were a lot harder...i'll give you that.

It was either 9-2 or 9-3 or 9-4, whatever one had all the ice blocks. That one took me forever. The final fight with Bowser wasn't easy either. However, Super Mario 3D Land had that "extra super secret" level that was, maybe, the hardest 3D Mario level of all time, which is in stark contrast to the rest of the game being the easiest 3D Mario of all time. I just wouldn't put my hopes into NSMBU being tough, except for maybe one or two levels being outliers. So you do think that NSMBW had some difficulty? Where? Point to it:

After the first few levels, Super Mario 3D land should have STARTED with the difficulty of the last few/secret levels, and then progressed for me. The games mechanics are there. It is of high quality. My thoughts are that it is a missed opportunity at being a true classic. There are aspects of this game I think are better than the Galaxies. Topic: my thoughts on wiiu are that I bought one and am now a little aggravated that the launch list is still all over the place. Different sites list different dates for different titles....Heirren
I meant the one that appears...
...after you got all the star coins and got a gold flag on every flagpole
Also, some of the "lists" are outdated. It was just earlier today, I believe, that Namco confirmed Tekken Tag 2 and Tank! Tank! Tank! will be at the Wii U launch. There's actually a pretty fair amount of launch titles on launch day, and a few digital titles were confirmed for launch day as well recently. I feel pretty confident in saying that every game the UK gets on launch day http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/17/namco-reveals-its-wii-u-launch-titles, will be available on launch day here as well, on top of Darksiders 2.
Yeah... that secret level in 3D Land... I think I burned it from my memory... JustPlainLucas....Because it was difficult?
Wii U is the savior of the gaming industry. It will save us from the abominations known as the 360 (even though I play it lol) and PS3 (I dont play it)
Wii U is Nintendo in HD. Metroid, Zelda, Mario, F-Zero, Starfox, Kirby, Smash Bros, Donkey Kong, Miyamoto's new IP. Online that is at WORST just as good as XBL but it is better and 100% FREE. No more paying for batteries!!!! Recharge you're gamepad like a 3DS. (Unless you use the Pro Controller lol)
Gamepad is f-ing awesome. Dont know about you but back in the 90's everyone around me was saying I bet in the future video game controllers will have a screen on them....BOOM FUTURE IS HERE.
With Wii U Nintendo will regain their title as King Of Gaming.
Well their wont be a 720 next year. Wont be till 2014 due to Microsoft missing the production time line according to Machinima and Xbox magazine. The 1st chip they used apparently had "poor preformance" so Microsoft has to send a new one but they will miss the deadline for the year. But Smash Bros should be out in 2014 meaning that yeah it will compete with the 720. And PS4....Please after the Vita failure you think another system is on Sony's mind. They really need money not throw away more money they dont have. All though making a PS4 again at $700 for launch would be possible lol. Sony goes out of buisness in 2 years just you wait and see.

Well if you can put up with the trash community of XBL and PSN, and want to continue to pay for online on XBL and play games at 720p and 30 fps, and not want to move on from 7 year old technology. Then my good sir stay with the PS3/360.
I cant stand the abominations known as the 360/PS3 anymore after 2 months I go back to my gaming roots. Nintendo.
