Sorry if this is a repeat post....

But after finishing Metroid Prime 3 and really enjoying it, I wonder what's next for a new 3D Metroid for the Wii? Metroid 3 was a nice change with traveling with the ship and dialogue, but with the next one I would like to see:

a return to isolated exploration and dialogue is nice, but only in key spots as too much dialogue ruins the isolated feel

new creative alien worlds.....Metroid Prime 3 gave us more city-like and starcraft exploration (the later starcraft almost felt haunted which was cool) but I would like more terra firma exploration....and yes creepy is good

All new weapons....I think old standards are great but continued growth of new weapons....Metroid 3 had some cool new weapons and this trend should continue, especially using the Wiimote.....new ideas of modifying the morphball system would be welcomed. But hat's off to Retro Studios for their great use of the Wiimote....I want more!

Have there been any rumours yet on a new game or confirmation that Retro Studios will do the next one?

What ideas does everyone have? I'd like to hear......

And why not a new sidescroller Metroid on the DS utilizing both screens at once...ala Sonic Rush?
I think the 100% ending shows sylux' ship and that in Metroid dread (in a scan it says "[Project metroid dread nearing completion stage") that there will be sylux from MPH in it because he was so popular. Anyways it might be on the Wii.
i know metroid is not meant to be a multiplayer, but Metroid Prime Hunters was a great game, now just imagine it with Wii's capabilities. But i think they should release a new Metroid game for DS, a 2D one, or maybe one that looks like New Super Mario Bros.

Where the hell is Metroid Dread??!!

They'll make another one.

Look at Halo. Halo 3 was supposed to be the last game. Will it be? NOT A CHANCE. They'll have more spinoffs for us to soak in. Metroid is too cool to just die like that.

I personally would like to see Metroid go 2D one last time... but that's unlikely, at least on a console.

look at this image: http://dsmedia.ign.com/ds/image/article/815/815899/metroid-dread-rumored-20070827041640058.jpg

Metroid dread is possibly the next one. Look at the photo when I was playing the game I also saw this scan. Could it be some sort of confirmation or just a joke... time wiil tell.

Well they better release another Metroid cuz thats my main reason for buying Nintendo, although they do have other good games.

I didn't buy a Wii til Metroid came out and I will not buy another Nintendo system without Metroid continuing so here's hoping, but I really hope for another one on the Wii and DS.

Nothing 3D for a long while. The next Metroid game will probably be a traditional 2D game on the DS. Which is really cool.

If the series stayed first person I'd love to see some sort of automatic weapon for her arm cannon. I don't know if it should be bullets or lasers or what but something that you could walk into a room and just shred with.

Also I love for some of the gadgets and upgrades to be a little more offensive. Some sort of weapon to use with her left hand as well. A larger variety of acrobatics would be sweet. The visor system and the grapple pull HAVE to stay. Too flawless to abandon. Also sticking with the offensive gadget idea would be some sort of really great and effective melee attack(s). I know some of it sounds Halo-like but that's really just coincidence. How many times have you had someone on top of you and you just wish you coould just devastate their existence with some sort of punch or blade or something. Plus.........I'll say it.....online.

None of the console Prime games needed multiplayer to be great. Echoes' was okay. Hunters was great. Those formulas could be perfected for a future Wii Metroid and it could be divine. And some feasable way to co-op would make me emplode with happiness. To me there is no better multiplayer experience then quality co-op in any genre it's done right. Here's hoping. Whatever it is....if it's Metroid I'll bite.

Retro said they were taking a break. Which is bittersweet. I want to see what else they can do. Hopefully next gen there will be a new Metroid from them. Super Wiimote + really really really good graphics in Metroid = awesome. (Not just really good which is what MP3's are)

From what i've heard, Metroid Prime 3 is the end of the Metroid Prime Trilogy so i don't think there's gonna be any more Metroid Prime games. Maybe other Metroid games.

I am pretty certain that this is not the end to the Metroid series. Why would Nintendo be at their prime in gaming and technology and all of a sudden stop a great franchise. It would be like stopping Mario or Zelda.

As for the 2D version that would be great to have. A bit off topic but... WHERE IS A SSB GAME FOR THE DS???. They did a 3D battle for metroid how hard can it be to create a 2d game?? Then Wifi it!! that would be cool.

I hoping that Samus' Subspace Emmisary Mission gives us a nice taste of this.
