i like pokemon aslo but mario and luigi partners in time is cool
hey lets make stuff ont the official mario kart emblem
At the moment, I can't recall being particularly wow'ed by any RPG on the DS. Lunar was good for nostalgia but a terrible game otherwise. Partners in Time was basically just a less fun version of Superstar Saga. I was just left utterly disappointed by Final Fantasy III.
Pokemon Diamond was fun, but at its core, it's more or less the same as the last several games. I'd give the nod to Mega Man: Star Force if you're willing to call it an RPG.
Pokémon games suck when you play them like they're meant to be played. The fights just take too much time. But when you play them illegally (talking about the GBA games), they're good, great actually, because you can speed up some things. Just wanted to say that.
Pokémon Pearl/Diamon is a great game, but it's too old school, plus it's the same as every other Pokémon game. Why? The games look alike, play alike, sound alike, and the story is the same. Man, that sucks. When I think about it... I don't actually like Pokémon anymore. :(
pokemon diamond/pearl and FFIII
And... Is it worth trading in my old silver DS for anew Black DS lite?? and how much would get 4 my old 1???
none of them are particularly astounding.
pokemon while good, at its core is essentially the same game as previous iterations.
mario and luigi 2 is good, but like a crappier version of the gba game. its still awesome but the sprites i find a little uglier and the story a lot worse.
for me, ff3 just didnt impress. not for me anyways, but its still a good game.
so yeah, those are the better rpgs, but if you still have your old gba lying around, it might be a good idea to take it out again just for its library of awesome rpgs.
Final Fantasy III and Lunar Knights for now but for great upcoming RPG games there are plenty of them coming.
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates
Dragon Quest IV
Dragon Quest V
Dragon Quest VI
Dragon Quest Joker
Dragon Quest IX
Archaic Sealed Heat
Tales of Innocence
none of them are particularly astounding.
especensor
i agree. the only rpg i own atm for my ds is ff3, which was okay. i enjoyed the jobs but that was it. If I wanted to play an rpg on a portable system, i'd probably break out good ol' Golden Sun.

yeah, its as though they suddenly realized the shortage of good quality RPGs for the system. Squeenix to the rescue!!!

i agree with what u said about the current rpgs but i also have to say pokemon is good to.all of those games listed already look good from what ive seen and heard about them
Hmmm... I can't believe how many people are saying Pokemon. Am I the only one out there that was dissappointed in a another rehash? Other than Pokemon Pearl, I haven't played any of the pokemons except the first oneandIT'S THE SAME EXACT GAME!!! I mean, same story, same game play, same graphics, same everything. They could have at least brought the graphics up to date. Even the path you take through the game is basically the same. It's just sad to me that a system capable of 3d graphics is still emulating something for the regular game boy. I think they're milking their original success for everything they can.
As for RPG's for the DS, I'd actually suggest picking up some GBA RPG's and plugging them in your DS. You can get Golden Sun for $12 online, and it's WAY better than pokemon. I'd suggest Golden Sun or its sequel.
U foolish fools. Check out the new gameRune factory: A fantasy harvest moon. Whhips the asses ofall the rpgs that are out now on ds. I've been playing it for 2 days straight now.
So much depth in this game that it **** on pokemon diamond. and ff3 is an outdated game to begin with.
As you probaly noticed its basically the same three games getting posted.
FF3
Pokemon(Cough)
and M&L
So far for the DS there isnt a big selection of RPG's on the DS, the upcoming games will surely be a better collection of what we have now.
As said before none of the games are outstanding. I agree with that.
FF3 gives some repetivity after a while..
Pokemon is just the same old thing with just some other things to take your mind off that fact.
I dont know about M&L personally though.
