It was really good, and accomplished it's goal.
So why are some ppl disliking it?
I have the GameCube version,btw.
But it doesn't matter,same game.

The gamecube version was the superior version, thats why you liked it :P Waggle waggle waggle waggle.
Little late for this discussion though isnt it bud? :P It's all about hating Skyward Sword now!

Yay! :D Haha, nah, I don't hate Skyward Sword, I'm just disinterested in it, Zelda hasn't been for me for a while. I'm trying to play SS again to see if I can actually finish it this time, we'll see.

Maybe you should do Hero Mode.

That's the 3 heart thing right? Nah, I don't have a problem with the difficulty, just so slow paced and the story was taking too long to get interestingThat's the 3 heart thing right? It's not the motion controls.
It's that they mirrored it!
I hate that.
It always really bugged me that they mirrored the map.
Anyways, I liked it better than Ocarina of Time, but I'm a relatively casual Zelda fan.
I loved TP. I think Skyward Sword would be fun too but I just CAN'T get in to it. I've had it since Christmas and I didn't even get into the second dungeon yet. The story seems good, but I think the Zelda formula is just getting a bit old to me. I'm going to give it another go eventually.
People hate on TP because it wasn't as good as Ocarina.
[QUOTE="meetroid8"]People didn't like the wolf sections and thought it was too similar to OoT, which made it feel stale. JoGoSoHow can anyone hate the wolf sections but like the bird and key twist things in SS? I wish Motion+ was never hyped
Because skydiving is dope.
Islands are in the sky so it makes sense to have to use some sort of transportation to get around.
What doesn't make sense is every task as a wolf;
howl - so annoying give us a proper instrument
transportation - wtf was the horse for then?
magic multi-attack - link couldn't do this?
picked up by midna - thought I had a hookshot
smell - apparently the master sword learned this ability long ago
dig - k, this ine actually makes sense but no means necessary or nothing a shovel couldn't accomplish
I would have much rathered Link turning into a dark link in the twilight instead of this flat character wolf who didn't learn any new abbilities from the start of the game.
Especially after playing a game like Okami the wolf parts in TP I found tedious, useless, and lame.

In my opinion, the game was at best decent by Zelda standards. That's not to say that it didn't have its moments, but there was plenty I didn't care too much for:
I think that's enough for now. :P And I was merely referring to the GCN build, by the way, as I haven't played the Wii version. Still compared to WW and SS, TP just wasn't as fun for me.

I'm doing as many fetch quest in SS and the wolf having limited abilities was planned I would think. It's a dog after all. If I had to flyout to another rock in the sky to fetch a blue Rupee... I thought it made less sense to not allow Link to fly at night in SS. That would have been some excellent filler if flying were more dangerous. Ditto for the night scenes at his home.
- Game design was too dependant on dungeons; no memorable side-quests or activities that served as a meaningful diversion.
Madmangamer364
I disagree, Twilight Princess was lacking in actual side quests, but not in memorable diversions. Kayaking, fishing, Malo Mart, the claw shot mini game, the river flight mini game, more heart pieces than any other Zelda game, Agitha and the golden bugs, roll goal. And I'm sure I'm missing some.

SS gets a lot of flack for fetch quests too and never getting to fly at night was very disappointing.
Wolf having limited abilities was disappointing because the transformations in MM were all useful and expanded on Link's abilities rather than hinder them.
Either way, I loved the wolf and the fetch quests in both games.
Because it was really the beginning of the mark of the aging zelda formula.
Even SS didn't break it. Zelda is just getting predicatable now.
Nintendo is all about surprise, and when zelda just doesn't surprise you anymore then you know something is wrong.
goblaa
What makes it worse is that the entire leadup to launch was Nintendo saying "We've changed it up so much, a drastic turn for the series, blah blah blah lies lies lies."

Nothing that they said would was, the whole "the whole world is a dungeon" thing was such a load of marketing BS.
Because it was hyped like no tomorrow sure it wasn't the best Zelda game ever but it was an excellent entry in the series and is one of the games I enjoy playing all the time. I do perfer Skyward Sword but people who say TP is a bad game need to grow up they wanted a game similar to Ocarina and they got it what more do you want.
They're annoyed with having to use the wolf, though it's really not that bad. I could have done without it, too, but it's not anything that hinders the game all that much.

SS's overworld was dramatically different form that of any other Zelda game.[QUOTE="Madmangamer364"]

The keyword was "memorable," which is something that is prone to subjectivity. Fact is that all of all of the things you mentioned, I only recalled the bug-catching side-quest, and that's not something I found particularly enjoyable. Nothing else in the game really jumped out at me at all, and I'm sure I experienced most, if not all of those activities at some point (not to mention the disappointing Cave of Ordeals that I found myself over-preparing for). My primary experience was one where I was in a dungeon in the game most of the time, which didn't create the most enjoyable Zelda experience.
Just my two cents, though.
I'll never understand this mentality, the people who play Zelda only for the dungeons. For me, the most enjoyable sections will always be the extras and the 'filler' in between, Different strokes for different people, I guess. The keyword was "memorable," which is something that is prone to subjectivity. And trust me when I say I'm not one of those people with that mentality. I could have play sessions in OoT, WW, and SS that were nothing but side-quests and enjoying what the game had to offer outside of the dungeons themselves. It's just that TP's 'fillers' didn't cut it for me. I wanted to believe that in a Hyrule that massive, I could find something as a fun diversion from the main game, but as it turned out, if I wasn't going through dungeons, I wasn't playing the game at all.
We're not that different on this topic, aside from the fact that you enjoyed TP's extras, whereas I got nothing out of them whatsoever.

I just don't understand that. There was so much to do, so many secrets to find. Admittedly, not nearly as much as WW or MM, but still plenty to do.
Once again, different strokes.
Twilight Princess was great, the hatred is totally unfounded. Sure, the overworld was too big for its own good, but look at Skyward Sword... yikes, after that mess, I just might be done with the Zelda series.
I kinda like the wolf part, my only complaints was the Zant battle whats the point in fighting him if he's gonna fight like previous bosses in the game, and the magic armor draining your wallet fast I mean why not just give Link a magic bar.It was low on side quest but had some fun bits like Link Snow boarding
