What's with this gen's DDR?

The DDR games on the PS2 were downright amazing with a whole bunch of cool songs and difficult track lists and EXTREMELY demanding timing. The new ddr games counts your steps a whole half second off (wtf?) I mean, who wants to dance to Lady GaGa? or Cold play, what happened to the cool songs like Xepher and Doll? Plus, who wants to watch a retarted looking doll dance in the backround? The old DDR can have crazy flashing lights or anime style backround or even just not have anything even dancing in the backround

DDR is most fun with crazy random jpn songs ^_^
