the best generation was the Nintendo vs. Sega vs. Sony one.
Here's why:
~there was the controversy over cd's vs. carts.
~sony was this newcomer that stole squaresoft from their home at nintendo
~ this was the first console generation that introduced 3D
~ Virtua Fighter, Final Fantasy VII, Mario 64
~ Sega which has once been seen as this unstoppable force bowed out from the pressure of Sony's and Nintendo's success. (I really didn't see that coming)
I having been on the Sega side since the Genesis went ahead and got a Sega Saturn for Christmas. My favorite game for that was Solar Eclipse. Once the system was discontinued i went back to my old pal's at Nintendo eventually getting a Playstation as well. Ever since I've been a two console man.
Though now I dropped Sony for a 360.
