For me there is so much nostalgia with the NES. I mean, EVERY kid had one. You had no choice. You get get a Sega Master System, but why would you? The would be the era for me. That said, the N64 was the first system I ever bought with my own money, which was very satisfying. It was the NES that made me a gamer.

I'd have to say the SNES because it was truly great, the games awesome beyond beleif, the controls tight and precise, and the console itself held-up against Sega and Atari.

The Nes era for me as well. My family did have a 2600 but I never played it. The first game I ever played was the 1st Zelda in 86 then I loved watching The Super Mario Bros super show in the late 80's. Nintendo as everywhere TV, clothing, ceral.comics, magazines, toys everything!!! I knew some people that had a Sega but not really until like 1992. Every kid on my block and in my town had an Nintendo Entertainment system. Sadly mine below up in 2005, had it since 86. I doubt Nintendo will ever be as popular as it was in it's heyday. I think Wii will be the top selling system this gen don't get me wrong. But I think there is no way they will be as popular as they were in the 80's.

NES... not my first system (Intellivision, FTW) but the one that got me into it. You've also got to give it up to PS2... enormous library of games, and while not technologically superior to its competition, was still the one I had the most fun with overall, even if I did buy it for a DVD player. :P

I would have to say that the current generation is the most exciting. I mean, I really enjoyed the SNES and SEGA Genesis and their games were good, but I for one didn't have both or even too many games. On top of that, I was too young to know everything surrounding the consoles such as release dates, what's cominging out, new news, etc.... Whereas in this generation, my two favorite companies Microsoft and Nintendo have both made an enjoyable quality product with loads of good games out and coming out. Plus I'm old enough now to know everything that's going on for ex. E3, release dates, etc...

The Wii and 360 are my favorite. I have pretty much enjoyed everythin made by SEGA, Nintendo, and Microsoft. The only Sony product I ever liked was the PSOne because it was the only quality built sytem to role off their assembly line.

I liked the SNES era, but I would have to say the N64. It gave a whole new gaming experience and greatly raised the bar with Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, Smash Bros. and Mario Kart just to name a few.

Banjo-Kazooie, Crash Bandicoot, Super Mario 64, Pokemon, Spyro the Dragon, all the Mario Sports/Party games...

The late 90's was such a great time to be 7-11 years old!

For me, it's the Playstation era, starting with the first to the third. I've had a Atari (first system, only worked two days), Famicom (overheated, but because of long play, it had games built-in to the system, we didn't have to buy any game cartridges), Sega Mega Drive 2 (I enjoyed it) then in 2000 I got a Playstation 1...... But I've enjoyed the Playstation era the most.
