Well it's been a while since one of these debates has surfaced and I don't remember a lot of the details, but Zelda is Sheik. All she is doing is changing clothes.ZumaJones07How come we don't see her change then?

I definately don't see how Zelda is gender-confused. I get Birdo, and Tingle might have been another good one though he thinks he is a fairy, not a woman. Another good example might have been a pokemon, like a male Goldeen or a female Seeking. The priest guy from Fire Emblem 7 could be considered gender-confused, since I thought he was a she for quite some time there.
Really though, if you want to see gender confusion play a Guilty Gear game sometime. It will make you think twice before pursuing women.

think about Link changes...his Tunics just magically apear on him after selecting it.
I fear this will become the next giant debate along with the Zelda timeline...(shutters again)
Birdo because she is the only one I knew about. Zelda and Sheik are the same person, both girls. She dresses up for a reason.ZumaJones07First its he, it even sais so in the original Super Mario Bros 2 manual. Second, in the manga for zelda she mentions that to hide from ganon she must turn into a boy, thus she turns into sheik.

This is where I have to stop arguing because I've forgotten how the argument went when it was being discussed. All I know is that the people who were arguing that Zelda and Sheik were the same person and both female were the people I sided with. :P
Samus from Metroid. In the manual it says she is a dude but she does not look like a one.
hmmm. s/he could possibly be a tranny?:shock::o
When? In Brawl? That's the white magical stuff you're seeing. In OoT? Again, it's been a while, but it's kind of implied that they are both the same person. Not necessarily 100% proven, but safe to assume. It's supposed to be a MYSTERY.ZumaJones07It's not implied, Zelda and Sheik ARE the same person, period. And Tingle is definitely the most gender-confused character.

I dont like your sig:x I have to deal with this until I forget now...
BTW I choose Tingle (as the worst... so annoying)
shiek IS a boy... and Zelda is a girl... OoT cleared that up ( i thought shiek was a girl, but it uses male words to describe him (he, him, ect.) on more than one occasion) i say... LUIGI!garrett_duffmanThey use him, he, his, etc to describe Sheik because that's the role she is playing. If you were watching a play in a theater and there was a man playing a woman, you would identify them as a woman in the play, but he is really a man. Sheik is playing the part of a boy to hide from Ganon and she does it well since the game's characters think she is male.
People always forget about Slippy! Remember Starfox 64 when he/she had that really girly voice? I always thought he was a girl (he is, after all, a whiney little b****) and then I played Starfox Command and he was engaged to a chick! And in the GC Starfox he has a more boyish voice. I voted for Slippy- just because he's the most gender confused character. Although I have heard that Gracie Grace from Animal Crossing is a dude...blankshoreYes. Slippy had the most annoying voice in 64, but they made it better in Assault. I can't believe what they did to Leon's voice. He was awesome in 64.
Metroid. When I was little, I thought she was a guy. XDAjaxNeronYeah, most people thought Metroid was a guy at first.
i have to go with zelda all cross dressers are gender confused, i know fan boys will make a good reason why she liked to be a cross dresser but it really doesn't matter.elbert_b_23Birdo is more confused then Zelda because Zelda was using magic to change and had a perfectly good reason to become a boy to hide from Ganondorf. Birdo is a Guy who thinks he is a girl so he dresses like a girl that is being more confused then Zelda/Sheik.
Pikachu. Is it a guy or a girl? Or can it be either? AdRock92Pikachu is a Pokemon and they're are more then one Pikachu so they have Pikachus in both Male and Female same with Yoshi's since Yoshi's is the name of the Species.

Well Zelda isn't really that robust so a disguise could easily hide that. :P
I'm gonna use this to help my point even though some might argue it isn't canon or whatever. The creator of Smash couldn't have just put that in there on a whim so I'll use that. The Smash Bros Melee trophy also identifies Sheik as a girl so there's two sources from Nintendo stating it.
and there's this.
as far as im concerned shiek is a boy. at the time of OoT's release, not only did sheik not have any CLOSE to... well what that sheik has around the chest region, and was called a boy. as sheik was only in OoT, i will go with what the game says, not what SSB says, because they changed the character physically alot. this argument could definately support sheiks gender-confused-ness though huh? lolgarrett_duffmanNo, it supports that everyone thought she was a boy. She knew she was a girl.
