What's your opinion on Action Replay?

I think it's a waste of money, and it makes all your other games a waste of money too. It basically sucks the fun out of games and makes them boring. At first it's fun jumping super high, and breezing through levels that are suposed to be hard. But after a while you will say "Whats the point?"It also ruined the economy of animal crossing. Royal Crowns that used to be so hard to get and worth so much, now u can just get them for free from other hackers.

To put forward an opposing point of view, fun is in the eye of the beholder. Just because one person does not think that it would be fun to perform impossible feats in a game or become invincible to beat the last boss does not mean that someone else might not. It is your game. Play it however you like. I, personally, would not utilize such a device, but far be it from me to deny someone else. I like to use strategy guides. Others might think those resources suck all the fun out of a game. To each his own.

The only time I would have a problem with someone using Action Replay would be when it had an effect on someone else's game via local wireless or wifi. Taking advantage of other people and having fun at their expense is not cool.

I only do two thing when I use an AR.

Infinite money, and once Ive beaten da game, if I missing some, I use 100% characters. People who hack like in say, Mario Kart for like "Y Button for Spiny" and, "X Button for Triple Red Shells" are stupid and invovle new skill. Using it means you were to lazy to even trying to play the game yourself, and taste the feel of getting that one last Spiny!

But AR Media is good cause my iPod and PSP both broke/died :P

ARs are kinda annoying, but not really to the point of stupidity.

action replays are a sign of lazyness, and i dont think thats a bad thing.

AR By yourself: Do whatever you want. Give yourself infinite resources/health/accolades/whatever. I don't care

AR over Wi-Fi: I pray you get herpes or some terrible disease. This ruins the idea of online games and gets old fast. Stop cheating to win.

I loathe them. Its unfair to all those people who actually work hard and try to beat the game fairly. Plus, people who cheat online just ruin it for everyone.destroyerHHH

What do you mean unfair? If a person wants to cheat let him do so.

I don't see how it's unfair at all. If you enjoy playing a game the way it's meant to be played then do so. I don't see why you should be bothered that another played cheats his way through a game. You both know that you did it the right way.


The only reason I could see it being unfair is if you compete with a freind at how fast you can beat a game.

I am only talking about singleplayer use of action replay and not multiplayer.

yeah, I know. Recently I was playing a round of MPH when some hacker killed us as soon as I spawned and he wasn't even near me and killed me with a weapon i've never heard of BOTTOM LINE: AR sucks and should be banned like ****** ( I cant say it or else I wold get modded) hint: look at the highlighted words in the policy on the top of the page.

I wouldn't be such an overbearingly self-righteous, judgmental d-bag as to dictate to someone that they shouldn't use Action Replay on their single player game. After all, what someone is doing on their own game has no effect on mine. Online multiplayer games are a different story, though. :P

I have absolutely NO PROBLEM WITH AR. In fact it prolonged the life of my ACWW game in more then 1 way. First of all once I discovered some of the different codes it kept me playing even longer (I have been playing daily for 3 years now). Oh and I do not hack peoples towns. I just use it to make my own town do things it couldnt do without it. And the second way it saved me was I got bricked by someone and revived my town with it, without it I woulda had to buy a new 35 dollar game. However hacking against people online is 100% stupid and completely unfair!

I only use mine after I finish a game to the highest of my ability. I never use it to cheat online.

I do agree that it's a total fun killer once you use it.

i love it, you just gotta be aware of corruption, which is tons of memory i think. mine doesnt work anymore cause my cousins dog teethed on it -.-

although, i would use it for fire emblem: shadow dragon cause that would be funny :d
