This kind of seems like a moot point to me. People are having a ton of trouble just finding a Wii because they are so popular. Imagine what would happen if people wanted just a single, specific, color. No, I think Nintendo will probably wait until Christmas, or some other suitable date in the future, before putting out different colored Wiis. By that time, they probably hope that production will be at a level that matches demand.
As for a solution to your problem...I'd go with getting a skin. Of course, your other alternative is to find a Wii and paint it yourself.
