When Brawl comes out does it deseve a 10?

I think it does from what they are doing it looks great what do you think. If you believe it's not a ten please explain why it will slip. Thanks, I'm interested what people opinions are.

From what we have seen I think a solid 9.0 is fair.

First off, games don't start at 10 then get knocked down, so don't think that GS reviews things that way.

Regardless, I'm not going to speculate on anything at this point. Until I actually play it, then I can't decide on what numerical score it deserves.

o_o The people that OVER HYPE (And by hype, I don't mean by Game Spot's definition of hype, I mean actually BEING PUMPED) this game are crazy. YES it's fun. But a lot of people revolve their life around it, checking the updates at 12:01 AM or making sure they check before they headto school. It makes me giggle on the inside.
And aboutthe people who believe it has a chance of receiving a10...

Thepeople thatsaid it will get 10 or SHOULD get 10 are similar to the people that got smacked in the face when Twilight Princess fell short of expectations, in my own personal opinion. IT'S INSANE.

TP didn't get a 10.
SMG didn't even get a 10.

NEVER will this game get a 10 on game spot.

Now don't be like ":/ Get off the board you wii basher, etc. etc." I'm SUCH a big Nintendo fan and I LOVE the SSB series.
But come on, use some logic.

IGN: Not sure

Ask this question when the game comes out and people have played it. We don't know if we could be getting all hyped up for SSBB and it ending up being horrible (Highly doubt it will be).

Chrono Chross, one of the Tony Hawk games on the PS2 and the original Soul Caliber are the only other games to get a 10.

There was also Crhono Cross, Soul Calibur, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 that got 10's. As for Brawl, I hope it get's at least an 8.5 from the GS reviewers.

It'll get a good score, but not a 10. A number of the Editors of Gamespot have mentioned that the Smash Bros series isn't their cup of tea (they mentioned it in an episode of The Hot Spot), so even if it's a "perfect" game in your eyes, not everyone will think so. It'll get a lot of 10's from other sites though.

By the way, why hasn't this been locked yet? Even a Mod wrote on here...

Early hype is what makes games flop. I'll buy brawl when it comes out because I didn't really play melee that much and I think brawl is just improved graphics, new characters, new levels, and new features. Should be a good game though.WushuFighter

Isnt all part two or three of games that stuff? That really dont mean much, it has sooo many new features and characters, this game is gonna have a full adventure mode in which u can play wit all those characters with vs mode and online that is sick.

I agree that there's really no point in guessing the score for future games.

Were you aware that you can choose from 4 different control options?

CC, Gamecube controller, Wiimote on it's side, Wiimote and Nunchuk.

Also, when the guys from these sites played the game, they only had the Wiimote on it's side and CC options available, so they didn't even get to try the better of the 4 choices.
