I got mine this past Saturday because I had just found out Anmal Crossing was coming to the Wii soon. I've been up every ight playing MySims. Anyway, called every gaming store, every Wal-Mart and every Best Buy in my area (Memphis) and nobody had any or they just sold out. Like one Best Buy got a shipment in the night before and sold out of them in less than 24 hours. Anyway, friend told me to try Sears and I found one there.
I thought it had looked pretty cool but didnt have too much interest in getting any of the next gen consoles yet. Then on Christmas morning in 2006 I got one lol.
I don't remember exactly when, but I know it was in December of 2006. I had wanted to get it earlier, but I kind of didn't expect it to be 100% sold out for like a year. I eventually resorted to eBay.
January 2008 took me a year to get it too because every place I went to was sold out they would get a shipment in and there were always people waiting for the shelves to get stocked :(
Technically since launch, cos my parents pre ordered it and hid it from me, but I officially recieved it Christmas day 2006, I wonder where they hid it for those 17 days... hmmm....
